Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Cast & Character Guide - Every Actor In The Animated Series
Marvel Animation’s Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is in development, and its main cast members are steadily being confirmed in the meantime.
While they may have fought each other during this first encounter, seeing Daredevil and Spider-Man suited up and sharing the screen together is pretty exciting. Despite being in an adjacent timeline to the main MCU and animated, it’s very cool to see them matching blows with their unique abilities and heightened senses. Likewise, one can imagine that a future team-up later on in the series or in future seasons is likely in the works.

Scorpion’s New MCU Armor Explained
Created by Otto Octavius
Wearing deadly new armor created by Otto Octavius,MCU fans finally get to see the MCU’s Mac Gargan as a true Scorpion, just like in the original Marvel Comics. Essentially just a green rig on his chest with a long prehensile tail, this more conservative look for Scorpion fights the MCU incredibly well. That said, he’s still a major threat to Spider-Man and nearly killed the Wallcrawler had Norman not sent a glider to rescue Peter after Gargan used his tail to stab him.
“The fact that Peter’s confidence is so shaken in the aftermath makes Scorpion even more of an impressive Spider-Man villain for this new alt-MCU show…”

The debut of this new armor is even better consideringScorpion’s small role inSpider-Man: Homecomingwhich still hasn’t gone anywhere in the MCU.Furthermore, the Scorpion of this timeline represents the first time when this Spider-Man was outmatched, raising the stakes where people he cared about were in danger, and he wasn’t strong enough to save the day. The fact that Peter’s confidence is so shaken in the aftermath makes Scorpion even more of an impressive Spider-Man villain for this new alt-MCU show.
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Episode 8 Ending Explained
Peter Parker Gets His Classic Spider-Man Costume
InYour Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Manepisode 8, Norman provides Spider-Man with a darker version of the classic Uncle Ben motto. Encouraging Peter to stop holding back and to instead demand respect with his power, Norman tells Peter “With great power, comes great respect.” As such, most of the episode sees Peter pondering Norman’s words, considering if that’s what he really needs to do to take his superhero work to the next level.
It’s great to see Peter questioning the kind of Spider-Man he wants to be, especially combined with Harry encouraging Peter to be the one who decides what Spider-Man needs. This idea is further hammered home when Harry then shows Peter the new costume he had made inspired by Parker’s own designs and notebook drawings. As such, the fact that Spider-Man is now wearing a classic red and blue suit implies he’s finally ready to be a full-fledged hero on his own terms, just in time for the final episodes next week.

The final two episodes ofYour Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Manare set to release February 19th on Disney+.
