What This Means For XO, Kitty’s Future
The Show May Not Take As Long To Return
For fans of the show,XO, Kittyseason 3’s renewalis sure to come as a welcome development after the cliffhanger season 2 ending. Having spent most of the season torn between her feelings for Yuri and Min Ho, the ending ultimately saw her ask the latter if she could join him on his brother’s concert tour with their father, which served as a speedbump in her plans to confess her feelings for him. However, now that season 3 is moving forward, showrunner Jennifer O’Toole will have time to try and more definitively decide what Kitty’s romantic future is.
That being said, there were still plenty of plot developments in season 2 that could indicate the Yuri,Min Ho and Kitty love trianglewill continue inXO, Kittyseason 3 and beyond.Yuri made multiple grand gestures for the titular heroine throughout the season. Additionally, with her also seemingly having gotten closure with Juliana after sharing a kiss with Kitty while still technically with her girlfriend, the groundwork may have been laid for Yuri to confess her feelings for Kitty in the next season, or a potential season 4, which would equate to her senior year.

XO Kitty Hints At Undoing A Major Romance Twist In Season 3
Although XO, Kitty season 2 ends with a romance twist for Kitty Song-Covey, the show provides hints that a previous romance might not be finished.
Regardless of what comes from the love triangle at the heart of the show, the video announcement confirming that at least one script forXO, Kittyseason 3 is complete marks a promising sign of the show’s turnaround time. Many streaming shows have found themselves criticized for the elongated wait between seasons, with theTo All the Boysspinoff taking nearly two years to return. If the writers room is making plenty of early progress, filming could begin by this summer, and put the show back on Netflix in early 2026.

The Show Shouldn’t Stop Any Time Soon
Actress Anna Cathcart as Kitty in XO, Kitty.
Considering just how well-received the show has been since it launched, it doesn’t come as much of a surprise thatXO, Kittyseason 3 is moving forward at Netflix. That said, it’s still great news, as there’s a lot of room for not just Kitty, Min Ho and Yuri’s unofficial romantic competition to be settled, but also bring in more cameos from theTo All the Boysmovies for cameos. As much as it was great to see Noah Centineo’s Peter reunite with Kitty, there’s certainly a part of me eagerly awaiting a cameo fromLana Condor’s Lara Jean.
