How Wolverine’s Brown & Yellow Costume Compares To The Comics

Deadpool & Wolverine’s John Byrne-Inspired Wolverine Suit Is Incredibly Comic-Accurate

Andy Park’s design for Wolverine’s brown-and-yellow suit is very faithful to the source material. While it features the same kind of modernized, panel-patterned design as many other MCU suits, it’s much more minimalistic than most live-action superhero costumes. The brown parts of Wolverine’s suit have the same shape and size as they usually do in the comics, and the yellow parts are a solid yellow, with visible seamlines but without any extra flair.

Every Cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine Explained

Deadpool & Wolverine is packed to the brim with cameos from across the entire run of Marvel films, combining the numerous timelines together.

The most notable difference between Wolverine’s brown-and-yellow MCU suit and its original comic book counterpart might be the mask, which seems to be the same version used alongside the yellow-and-blue costume, only that the blue wing flaps are black. Normally, Wolverine’s mask is also yellow-and-brown when he’s wearing the John Byrne suit, and the wing flaps are usually much bigger. The belt also has a silver belt buckle inDeadpool & Wolverinebut is usually all-red in the comics.

Wolverine’s brown-and-yellow suit only made an extremely brief appearance inDeadpool & Wolverine, but it could eventually return to the big screen. Hugh Jackman’s new Wolverine variant lost his suit at the end ofDeadpool & Wolverine, and the TVA’s tailor may already have a replacement in store, given that Hunter B-15 noticed Wolverine’s potential as a multiversal savior. When a new threat arises inAvengers: DoomsdayandAvengers: Secret Wars, Wolverine could join forces with Deadpool again, this time wearing a tan-and-brown costume.
