Showtime Anytime Shut Down After Its Merger With Paramount
CBS And Viacom Merged Into Paramount Global
In December 2023, it was suddenly announced that Showtime Anytime had shut down (viaCollider). Showtime’s parent company Vicaom and Paramount+’s parent company CBS merged into ViacomCBS (now known as Paramount Global) in August 2019 (viaTHR). Then, in June 2023,Paramount+ and Showtime officially mergedand integrated their services, meaning time was short for Showtime Anytime.Showtime is now included in the premium tier of Paramount+, called Paramount+ with Showtime.

Each option also allows for a one-week free trial. Paramount+ with Showtime has several bonuses over Essential, including, of course, access to the Showtime library. With Showtime is ad-free (except for live TV), lets users download movies and TV, and stream CBS live which includes sports and events.
