After Okarun realized that he only regained his penis, and not his testicles, Momo and Okarun went to Seiko for help and discovered that he was possessed by a mysterious creature. That creature turned out to be Turbo Granny, as after Momo and Okarun’s fight with Turbo Granny in episode #4, she possessed Okarun at the last second and tried to hide until she regained enough strength to kill everyone.
Seiko forced Turbo Granny into a cat doll after discovering her inside Okarun, and to Turbo Granny’s surprise,Okarun kept Turbo Granny’s powers, as they were left inside Okarun while only her consciousness was put inside the doll. Turbo Granny was left with no power or means of fighting the heroes, but Momo, who had grown sympathetic to Turbo Granny after learning of her hidden motivations, offered to give her powers back in exchange for Okarun’s testicles. Turbo Granny reluctantly agreed, although she revealed that she lost Okarun’s testicles, meaning she will remain in the series for the foreseeable future.

Not only does Turbo Granny succeed at being equal parts hilarious and horrifying, but episode #4 gave her a surprising amount of depth withTurbo Granny being a guardian for deceased girls.Dan Da Dan’s Turbo Grannyis already one of the best-developed characters in the cast, so getting to see more of her in such a unique way will only be great for the series.
The benefit of having Turbo Granny around can already be seen in episode #5. Not only does she maintain all the same comedic back-and-forth she already had with the cast, butbeing forced into a position of helplessness has added even more comedy to Turbo Granny’s scenes, as she now has to contend with the same sort of abuse she subjected the cast to just a few episodes ago.
