The originalDunenovels were written by Frank Herbert, whose son, Brian Herbert, has continued to expand the universe with co-author Kevin J. Anderson. Their 2012 novel,Sisterhood of Dune, is the main inspiration forDune: Prophecy. Emily Watson and Olivia Williams lead theDune: Prophecycastas Valya and Tula Harkonnen. The show also features members of House Atreides, House Corrino, and original characters like Desmond Hart (Travis Fimmel).

For audiences on the West Coast of the United States in PT, the show will be out at 6 PM. For viewers in the UK in GMT,Dune: Prophecywill air at 2 AM on November 18.
