In the first episode of the series, a mysterious trunk is removed from the lake and the police discover a dead body shortly after. The dead body was Tae-seong, an ex-employee from NM who was stalking In-ji. Tae-seong made In-ji’s life a living hell and put everyone around her in danger. When Tae-seong and In-ji meet at the lake, she shoots him after he attacks her, but the bullets are blanks, so he survives.

She knows that Jeong-won’s father had done the same thing to his mom, which made her actions even more unforgivable.
