Shortly after the end of the month, some of February’s most popular games on thePlayStationstore were revealed, with some expected placements and a few notable surprises. Like most other gaming platforms aside from Steam, PlayStation player numbers are not made publicly available, which can sometimes make the success of certain titles hard to judge. Instead, the most-downloaded games on the platform are revealed monthly, giving an approximate idea of which new releases are doing well and which games continue to maintain long-term popularity.

As of March 10,the most-downloaded titles on the PlayStation Store have been revealedonPlayStation.Blog, with four separate lists for PS5, PS4, PS VR2, and free-to-play titles, split regionally between the US/Canada and Europe. As players might have expected, some of February’s biggest new releases and some perpetually popular live-service games are topping the charts, but there are also a few notable surprises.

For PS5 games,Monster Hunter Wildsis a major winner for February, coming in first in the US and Canada and second in Europe - notably,Wildshas broken several sales recordson other platforms as well.Not far behindWildson the PS5 chart, however, isKingdom Come: Deliverance II, which managed to outplace the game in Europe, taking the top spot, and coming in third in the US and Canada behindWildsandNBA 2K25.

Outside the expected success of major releases likeWildsandKCD2, however, other results are more surprising.The originalKingdom Come: Deliverance, for example, seems to have enjoyed a massive surge in popularity- likely due to the release of its sequel - topping the PS4 charts for February despite only appearing relatively low on the list for Europe in January.It Takes Twoalso saw a surprising resurgence in February, possibly due to the (at the time) upcoming release of Hazelight Studios' next game,Split Fiction, on March 6.

While not as surprising, it’s also notable that games likeCyberpunk 2077andHogwarts Legacycontinue tohold onto their popularitywell after either game’s initial release (althoughCyberpunkdid receive a new update near the end of January).Mortal Kombat 1andXare notable for being the only fighting games on any of the lists as well, and despite a troubled launch,Sid Meier’s Civilization VIIhas also made the list for both regions.
