Every Time The MCU Has Hinted At Mephisto

Mephisto hasn’t shown up in the MCU yet, but with the number of references, hints, setups, and rumors so far, his appearance seems almost inevitable.

After several years of the legendary demon from Marvel Comics being overtly teased in the MCU, with the most notable hints appearing in 2021’sWandaVision, it is a huge relief to finally hearMephisto’s name spoken in the MCU. There has been speculation that the demon could make his first appearance inAgatha All Along, while he has also been rumored to appear in 2025’sIronheartseries, or perhaps even his own Special Presentation.WhileAgatha All Alongname-dropped Mephisto for the first time, however, his name has been seen in the MCU before.

The Avengers Teased Mephisto 12 Years Before Agatha All Along

Mephisto’s name first appeared in the MCUback in 2012’sThe Avengers,12 years beforeAgatha All Alongepisode 3 would mark the first time it was actually heard.
