In a universe full of heroes and villains, theMCUmay have too many powerful individuals prepared forAvengers: Doomsday. A superhero franchise would be nothing without flash superpowers and extremely strong characters, and Marvel has introduced dozens of them over the years. TheMCU’s superpowered individualshave only gotten stronger as the universe develops, but it may cause a problem going into the culmination of the Multiverse Saga.
There have beenseveral MCU superheroes introduced in recent projectsthat have reached almost god-tier strength. Although it makes for flashy visuals and impressive action sequences,too much power isn’t always a good thing. The point of theAvengersfilms is that a team is more efficient at defeating the villain. With some individuals almost being able to take on threats on their own, it defeats the purpose of these team-ups and leads to questions from fans.
Doctor Doom Is The Next Avengers Level Threat To The MCU
The culmination of the Multiverse Saga will be inAvengers: DoomsdayandSecret Wars, withthe Avengers next major threat being Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom. While the character has yet to be introduced in the MCU, fans of the comics already have major expectations for the villain. Doctor Doom is an incredibly strong individual with his powers covering the realms of magic and psionics. On top of that, he has an above average intellect and martial arts training.
How Powerful Is The MCU’s Doctor Doom Will Be Compared To Thanos
Doctor Doom is the MCU’s newest arch-villain and will ostensibly take the place of Thanos, making it prudent to compare their power levels.
It is the characters with strong personalities and complex emotional depth that make for the best MCU supervillains, and fans are sure to get that with Downey Jr.’s upcoming portrayal. As the MCU has evolved, the strength of the characters has too. The franchise is now home to god-tiered superheroes that can take on bigger challenges, and Doctor Doom is the perfect character to offer that to the new generation of Avengers.
Too Many God-Tiered Superheroes Are In The MCU
One problem that has come up with the MCU’s constant introduction of new characters is just how strong some of these individuals are. When a character is capable of taking out a villain fairly easily, it almost defeats the purpose of a fight.These new characters range from superpowered witches to cosmic entities, and the fact that all of these god-tiered heroes will be on the same team is questionable.
Eternity (Love)
Gorr the God Butcher’s actions throughoutThor: Love & Thunderwere all so he could bring his daughter back. The film ended with the cosmic entityEternity resurrecting his daughter Love, which caused her to develop the ability to manipulate cosmic energy. She was then adopted by Thor, and the two are currently traveling across space to protect alien species. Even though she is still young,Love already outpowers most MCU heroes because of her ties to Eternity.
Wiccan
Initially introduced as the mysterious Teen inAgatha All Along, it was revealed that he was actually the consciousness ofBilly Maximoff in William Kaplan’s body. Now technicallyconsidered the reincarnated son of the Scarlet Witch, Wiccan maintains his ability to read minds in his new body and can will things into existence as he did with the Witches' Road. He also has control over chaos magic and witchcraft, just like his mother. Considering that the Scarlet Witch was widely considered the strongest Avenger before her death, Wiccan’s own strength is no surprise.
G’iah
The daughter of Soren and former Skrull Council General Talos, G’iah grew up watching her people fight and trained hard herself. Already incredibly powerful because of her Skrull physiology,G’iah became an even stronger version of herself after receiving the Super-Skrull seruminSecret Invasion. She is now able to replicate the abilities ofevery individual whose DNA was in the serum, including several god-tiered superheroes like Thor, Captain Marvel, and even Thanos.
Captain Marvel
Captain Marvel’s powers already came into question inAvengers: Infinity WarandEndgame, with many fans saying that the fight against Thanos would’ve gone much easier if she was present.The MCU conveniently had her absent until the climax of the Battle of Earth, likely because the studio knew that her god-tier powers would make the fight much less challenging.
Sentry
Sentry will make his MCU debut just beforeAvengers: DoomsdayinThunderbolts*. He was a regular human who drank the Golden Sentry Serum, which was a Super-Soldier serum meant to bestronger than the one used on Captain America. Even though his exact MCU skillset has yet to be confirmed, the fact thathis comic counterpart was referred to as an Omega-Level Threatsays enough about how overpowered he will be.
