As you get used to the loot and crafting system inThe First Berserker: Khazan, you’ll notice that most of the powerful gear sets in the game require unique crafting materials. These special materials can be acquired in various ways throughout Khazan’s journey and farmed from individual bosses along the way. Gear sets need to be unlocked by tracking down their associated scrolls, typically located in random areas throughout the various regions or dropped from bosses upon defeating them.
After you pick up a gear set’s corresponding scroll, you can craft it at theblacksmith inKhazan, but only after you gather the required items. This is where unique crafting materials come into play, and in my view,The First Berserkerhas given players a relatively straightforward, albeit frustrating, method for gathering the special materials you need. Farming bosses can be a grind depending on the gear set you have your eye on, and you may have to do this for multiple sets as you level up and better options become available.

When To Use Special Crafting Materials
Unique crafting materials such as theGuardian’s Hoovesor Netherworld Minerals are likely something you’ve noticed in your inventoryafter defeating some of the difficult early bosses, such asBlade Phantom inThe First Berserker: Khazan. Before you unlock the blacksmith, however, these materials are of little use, so you’ll need to advanceup to Aratrato even start using these unique items.

Unique crafting materials can be acquired in a few different ways. The first and most convenient method is to purchase three unique materials from Danjin, the jar enthusiast. Danjin sells three of every type of unique crafting material once you’ve acquired that type already by defeating the associated boss. These are limited in supply andwill cost you a sum of Lacrima to boot. These are an easy way to fill out a gear set, as you’ll typically acquire two random pieces from any given set from its corresponding boss.
Danjin also sells Jar Helmets, and at the Epic-quality level, these can replace the headpiece in your gear set of choice thanks to a fixed attribute that reduces set item requirements by 1.

Another way to find unique crafting materials is during missions, where they can typically be found while exploring different areas throughout the mission’s progression. For example, three Fallen Lord’s Claws can be found during the"Birth of Evil"mission in Capital City Vitalon, while three Blood-Soaked Stoneshards can be picked up during the final"Master of Chaos"mission.
The First Berserker: Khazan - All Charnak Mountain Range Soulstone Locations
There are 20 soulstones in the first major region of The First Berserker: Khazan, the Charnak Mountain Range. Break them all for some nice buffs.
However, the primary method for acquiring unique crafting materials is farming individual bossesafter defeating them the first time. Each crafting material is randomly dropped by a particular boss in the game, who will also likely drop random pieces of that gear set. This will be the main way you get additional unique crafting materials as you level up and need to craft better and better gear.
