An announcement on X by the anime’s official account has revealed that season 2 ofSword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Onlinewill be released in Japan onWednesday,July 13, 2025, at 11:00 p.m. Japanese Standard Time (JST).The announcement was originally made during the Aniplex x Kadokawa Anime Festival live stream on Friday.
Streaming and simulcast information for the upcoming season is yet to be announced, though the first season, consisting of 13 episodes, is available on Crunchyroll. The exact episode count for season 2 is also yet to be revealed but will likely be announced sooner or later on the anime’s official website or social media handles.
