What To Expect From Star Wars: Skeleton Crew
Skeleton Crew Is Unexplored Territory—In More Ways Than One
The creators of the show have been clear thatSkeleton Crew’splace in theStar Warstimelinewas chosen very intentionally, based on the flexibility it gave the story.BecauseSkeleton Crewis set during the New Republic Era, the children are able to be lost without the Jedi immediately coming to their rescue. Rather, with the galaxy still trying to pick up the pieces following the fall of the Empire, the children really will be on their own—that is, until Jod Na Nawood comes across them.
This also givesSkeleton Crewthe wiggle room to explore a number of exciting concepts, including the threat of pirates and a hunt for treasure. While pirates have of course been part ofStar Warsfor years, they have yet to be so prominently featured in a show or movie. Given all of this, viewers should expect some thrilling new ideas and numerous surprises throughoutStar Wars: Skeleton Crew.
