She was 14 years old when Robyn married Kody in 2010. Robyn was Kody’s fourth wife, and many members of the family weren’t eager to add another wife and more children to the already large clan.
By the time the family stopped growing, Kody had 4 wives and 18 children, but, by the timeSister Wivesseason 19premiered,three of his four wives had walked away from their polygamous marriagesover the course of the last few years. Mykelti’s mother, Christine, was the first of Kody’s wives to walk away, opening Pandora’s box in 2021. Christine has since remarried, and Mykelti has her own family now, but she continues to maintain a strong relationship with her father and Robyn.

Many of Kody’s other childrenwere less than welcoming to Robyn, but Mykelti bonded with Kody’s fourth wife and even lived with Kody and Robyn for a while. Mykelti sat for an interview during an early episode ofSister Wivesseason 19, in which she talked about being a teenager when Robyn joined the family,Robyn made her feel special and valuedat a time when she needed to be seen. All three of Kody’s former wives have said that they want their children to have good relationships with their father, and Mykelti cares about Robyn too.

When it came time for Mykelti to give birth to her twins, she wanted both her mother and Robyn to be there, despite the fact that the women hadn’t spoken sinceChristine ended her marriage to Kody. The former sister wives respected Mykelti’s decision,but they didn’t speak to each other while at the hospital. Mykelti went in for her C-section and she and her husband, Tony Padron, had two healthy babies, Archer and Ace Padron. When the babies went home, Christine and Robyn took turns staying with the family to help with night feedings.

Mykelti is one of the few members of the Brown family who isn’t in a fight with any other member of the clan, so she’s in a unique position to bring people together.
