There’s still a passionate group ofScreamfans who are hoping for Stu Macher’s (Matthew Lillard) return despite Kevin Williamson confirming he’s dead, but at this point, Stu’s return would make for a disappointing “twist”. Aside from Gale,another legacy character who can easily return inScream 7is Mark Kincaid(Patrick Dempsey), who is now confirmed to be Sidney’s husband.
Scream 7could also bring back minor characters from past movieslike Martha Meeks (Heather Matarazzo), Randy’s sister and Mindy and Chad’s mother who had a brief appearance inScream2022, Sidney’s father (last seen inScream 3), or any of the actors from the firstStabmovies.Scream 7has to avoid the nostalgia trap now that it’s bringing Sidney back, and if it brings other legacy characters back, it has to bring those who fit the story in the most organic way possible.
