Ranma 1/2 Season 2 Has Been Confirmed, But Questions Remain
Ranma 1/2’s Original Anime Featured a Good Amount of Filler Content
The originalRanma 1/2anime series, like many other popular adaptations of the time, aired alongside the release of Rumiko Takahashi’s manga. In many cases for series like these, issues arise when the anime naturally catches up to its source material. Shows likeDragon Ball,Naruto, andOne Pieceare famous for their adaptations having ample amounts of filler added in sections where they needed time for the manga to move forward.AndRanma1/2’s original anime was not excluded from this practice.
It has yet to be confirmed whether theRanma 1/2remake will be following the events of the manga, anime, or feature a mix of both. Already, the series has proven itselfexceptionally faithful to Rumiko Takahashi’s order of storytelling, but the original anime began heavily incorporating filler around the point in the series where the remake’s first season is leaving off. There have already been subtle changesthat hint towards the new anime’s faithfulness to the manga, though it is uncertain what direction the adaptation will take in its upcoming season.
