Sendhil Ramamurthy will play Nefertari Cobra, king of Arabasta and the father of future Straw Hat Pirate crew member Nefertari Vivi. Ramamurthy is recognizable for his roles inHeroes(as superpowered geneticist Mohinder Suresh),Never Have I Ever(as Mohan Vishwakumar), andThe Flash(as villain Bloodwork).

Currently,thirteen new cast members have been confirmed forOne Pieceseason 2,including Ramamurthy, yet two notable additions have yet to be cast. This includes the previously mentioned Vivi, princess of Arabasta, who begins her story as a potential antagonist towards the Straw Hats during the Reverse Mountain arc. That is expected to be the second story of the new season. Tony Tony Chopper, the reindeer and future doctor of the crew, has also yet to be cast, though his unique appearance means that this is likely to be a voice role.
