Shared by the user Pap22 in a post tagged as “Reliable” onReddit, the leak shows theimages of three in-game murals that carry heavy story spoilers for the region of Natlan. The first image highlights a dragon-like creature spewing fire on a protective bubble, incinerating those outside of it. The second image seems to show the dragon now vanquished, with a figure standing on top of it, while the last leaked image shows that same figure along another humanoid-shaped dragon-like creature, both standing in opposite directions. This could provide more details about Natlan inGenshin Impact.
Leaked Images From Natlan Have Heavy Story Spoilers In Genshin Impact
The Leaked Murals Likely Represent Natlan’s History
As was detailed by the user The_Strifemaster in response to the post, there could be more to the images. According to their speculation, the first leaked mural representsthe return of dragons to the region of Natlan, which resulted in the death of most humans and Celestians– but one envoy was capable of powering a tree, thus creating the aforementioned protective bubble, to shelter those that were able to escape the wrath of the dragons. The second mural’s figure is rumored to be Xbalanque inGenshin Impact.
Based on the image, the Reddit user speculates that Xbalanque was able to obtain some sort of guidance from a sage and was able to defeat the Pyro Sovereign, ending their reign over humanity in the region of Natlan. The user says that the third image allegedly shows Xbalanque and this sage, represented by the dragon-like mask, working together to bring peace to all living beings in Natlan – which could explainhow humans and dragons came to coexist somewhat peacefully among the many tribes of NatlaninGenshin Impact.
Rumors are that Natlan is divided into tribes, each worshipping Saurians of different elements. These Saurians are the smaller dragon-like creatures that have already been presented as mounts in Version 5.0 teasers – andthey may very well be the descendants of the dragons that once ruled the Nation of Pyro. Of course, the alleged death of the Pyro Sovereign and Xbalanque’s ascension could have different meanings that will be uncovered as players progress further into Natlan’s story. The Nation’s main campaign quests should be spread out across multiple updates if previous regions are to be taken as an example.
Fontaine’s main story missions, for instance, started with Version 4.0 and concluded with Version 4.2.
The leak should be taken with a grain of salt, as it may be incorrect, subject to change, or out of context. Nevertheless, if true, it does provide some deeper insight into Natlan’s story and why the Nation of Pyro’s society is structured the way that it is. More teasers should be revealed during the livestream, but more concrete answers should be obtained with therelease of Natlan inGenshin Impactlater in August.
