Summary
One ofArk: Survival Ascended’s newest creatures is secretly overpowered while being found and tamed quite easily. ThoughAscendedis only a revamp of the original game, it has taken the opportunity to add a few new creatures through fan votes. Some of these have been original, while others have come from the popular modArk Additions. However, two of these new creatures have come from paid Mini-DLCs, bringing up aworrying trend for the franchise.
Two otherpopular and cool modded dinosaursfromArk Additionsare the Ceratosaurus and Xiphactinus. The Ceratosaurus is a powerful dino capable of inflicting poison on its targets. These targets could then be attacked by meat-eating dinosaurs and heal them in the process. The Xiphactinus is a frightening prehistoric tuna with a powerful bite that inflicts a gnashed debuff. This is a more powerful version of the bleed debuff that had a shorter duration.

10 Biggest Differences Between Ark: Survival Ascended & Survival Evolved
Ark: Survival Ascended is a graphical revamp of Survival Evolved using UE5, but questions of what else has changed are worth exploring.
Ark: Survival Ascended’s Overpowered Deinosuchus
The New King Of The Swamp
This prehistoric crocodile was released back in July toASAand has surprisingly dominated the usually terrifying Swamp biome since. It can do this due to its high health and attack power that rivals even the notorious Giganotosaurus. The counter to this is how slow the Deinosuchus is, though even this is slightly lessened by another ability. This reptile is capable of turning in place quickly, allowing it to defend against any blind spots.
Since the Swamp is filled with dangers that either have strong attacks or poison, Deinosuchus is great for exploring them. Even outside of the Swamps, the Deinosuchus has a role as a warrior. It may not be as well-rounded as other options, but it comes with the benefit of how easy they are to find and tame.

How To Find & Tame A Deinosuchus
Raising A Crocodile Army
Along with the fact the Deinosuchus spawns so frequently, it can be rather inexpensive to tame when compared to the reward. It must be tamed passively, which does induce some risk, but removes the need for narcotics to put it to sleep. The best food to feed it when its mouth opens is Superior Kibble, but any prime or regular meat will work as well. Thus, with enough resources and time, one could have an entire army ofone ofArk: Survival Ascended’s best dinosaurs.
Though the argument could be made that the Deinosuchus should at least be harder to tame, it is amazing to have something easy to acquire to help with swamps. Swamps can hold some useful resources that will make a survivor’s life easier but are genuinely extremely dangerous till late game. With this in mind, anyone looking to explore the Swamps should look to find the new secretly overpowered Deinosuchus inArk: Survival Ascended.
