What The Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow Art Means For The DCU Movie
Even thoughSupergirl: Woman of Tomorrowhas only been filming for a few weeks, the fact that more fan art is emerging for Alcock’s DCU film shows that the interest is growing for Supergirl’s introduction in the franchise. There is also clearly excitement among the audience about Momoa getting a new chance to return to the DC world - especially as Lobo, given that he is a huge fan of the character himself. While time will tell how big Lobo’s role is inSupergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, it’s more than likely that the two of them will duke it out.
Given that there hasn’t been aSupergirlmovie since 1984,the hero getting her own project this early in the DCU shows that DC Studios is looking to make Kara a big player from the get-go. WhileSupergirl: Woman of Tomorrowwill be an adaptation of Tom King and Bilquis Evely’s comic series of the same name, changes have already been implemented since Momoa’s Lobo was added to the film. Momoa being part oftheSupergirl: Woman of Tomorrowcastcould, however, help set him up for future DCU projects, even if he’s only in a handful of scenes.
