WandaVisionwas one of the best shows yet made for theMarvel Cinematic Universe, although a new scene fromAgatha All Alonghas demonstrated how dark and demented the series’ events were. Now up to thethird episode ofAgatha All Along, the sequel series has done an excellent job of contextualizing the events ofWandaVision, allowing audiences to see the effects of Wanda taking over a town to remake it as her own. While Wanda’s path in the MCU is unique, the character has most recently been made a villain before dying inDoctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Audiences love Wanda, and despiteScarlet Witch’s status in the MCU, speculation has circulated about bringing back the character. Many believeScarlet Witch’s MCU return is set up inAgatha, although all of this remains to be seen. Rumors have swirled concerning an upcomingScarlet Witchmovie, although there is a great deal that would have to be done to undo her heel-turn inDoctor Strange 2.This becomes even more difficult when looking at the things she did to the people of Westview.

WandaVision’s Choke Scene Explained

The Scene Was From The First Episode Of The Disney+ Series

In the first episode ofWandaVision, against a 1950s backdrop, Vision’s boss, Mr. Hart, and his wife attend dinner at their house. Vision hopes for a promotion in a scene reminiscent of 1950s sitcom plots, and Wanda throws a dinner together using magic. During the meal, however, the first disturbing moment of the series occurs when Wanda realizes she can’t remember her past. Mr. Hart then begins to choke, and the table seems frozen in time, unable to help.

Mrs. Hart appears not to be too disturbed during this event. However, she does plead repeatedly for her husband to be helped. It seems that she is not able to do anything.Luckily, just in time, Vision gets up and dislodges the choking food from Mr. Hart’s throat. The episode quickly returns to its light-hearted tone, and things move on. However, this does leave a backdrop of darkness against the entire show, contributing to the mystery as it unfolds.

Agatha All Along Showed The Other Side To WandaVision’s Dinner Scene

Sharon’s Vision Helped To Add Context To A Disturbing Moment

Much ofWandaVisionneeds to be recapped forAgatha, as so many of the events correspond. During somevisions received in episode 3 ofAgatha All Along,a glimpse is given of the dinner scene fromWandaVisionas it actually occurred through Sharon Davis' eyes.Rather than what it seemed, it appears that Wanda had stopped Sharon’s husband from being able to breathe, and would not let him go. Rather than just saying"stop"repeatedly, she pleads with Wanda during the scene to let her husband breathe.

This helps audiences to understand that much of what was shown inWandaVisionwas actually darker and more sinister than it may have seemed. While some audiences saw Scarlet Witch’s heel-turn inDoctor Strange 2to be too sudden and inappropriate for her character, it is slowly being revealed thatwhat Wanda did to Westview was so much worse thanWandaVision, which showed the events through Wanda’s eyes, made it seem. This additional context from Sharon’s perspective helps to show this clearly.

Scarlet Witch Almost Killed “Mr Hart” And Confirmed Herself A Villain

WandaVision Did An Excellent Job Making Wanda’s Heel-Turn Seem Subtle

Agatha All Alonghas helped to show how darkWanda’s story is in the MCU. Because the character was seen primarily as a hero for many years, it is difficult for audiences to accept this entirely. Still, the stories have done an excellent job of providing additional detail and context for Wanda and her arc. There is no denying that she became a villain with her actions inWandaVision. She held innocent people captive as playthings for herself and nearly killed Sharon Davis' husband.

Wanda officially became a villain inDoctor Strange 2, although the seeds were clearly planted much earlier. By taking a different lens toWandaVision, the character’s journey becomes much clearer and much more tragic. This does not mean that there is nothing redeemable in Wanda; this shows how complex and emotional her descent into villainy is.While there is much to be sympathetic about, Wanda genuinely became a terrifying villain in the first episode ofWandaVision.

I’m Sure That Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch Will Return To The MCU Now More Than Ever

After multiple recent updates, I’m now more convinced than before that Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch is returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Westview has turned on Wanda, and graffiti has been plastered on the foundation of her home, calling her an evil witch. This is all very understandable when examining the effects that Scarlet Witch had on the town, even if it is difficult for audiences to accept. There is some hope that the character will return at some point, although plot points inAgatha All Alongshow that perhaps the people of the Marvel Cinematic Universe would actually be much better off without her.
