Marvel may have already revealed the next big death in theMCUinAgatha All Along. Agatha Harkness' solo series opened with two episodes that concluded with Agatha and her cobbled-together coven venturing down the Witches' Road, setting the main narrative thread in motion. Meanwhile, many questions loom over such details as Agatha’s relationship with Rio Vidal, the fate of the Scarlet Witch, andthe identity of Joe Locke’s Teen, whose attempts to elaborate on himself have been seemingly blocked by a spell.

Theend ofAgatha All Alongepisode 2saw the coven open the door to the Witches' Road just as the Salem Seven descended on Agatha’s Westview residence. Each of the coven’s members has an express reason to tread the Witches' Road, which will grant successful travelers their greatest desire, save for Sharon Davis, whose presence was shoehorned by Agatha in her attempt to avoid Rio Vidal. To enter the road, the coven had to chant a song that has now become a central talking point for the show for one important reason.

Things Do Not Look Good For One Coven Member

The songwriters for theAgatha All Alongballad, Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, divulged ahead of the show’s release that"The Ballad of the Witches' Road" is a road map for what is to come in the series. This has already begun to unfurl as the first four lines describethe assembledAgatha All Alongcoven:

“Seekest thou the road

Gather sisters fire

Water, earth and air”

In this instance, the alchemist Jennifer Kale is associated with water, the blood witch Alice Wu-Gulliver is fire, and diviner Lilia Calderu is associated with air. While the element of earth should probably connect with the green witch Rio Vidal, Sharon Davis' green thumb was ostensibly sufficient in granting them access to the Witches' Road nonetheless. The remaining lyrics are as follows:

Darkest hour, wake thy power

Earthly and divine

Burn and brew with coven true

And glory shall be thine

Circle sewn with fate

Unlock thy hidden gate

Marching ever forward

‘Neath the wooded shrine

I stray not from the path

I hold death’s hand in mine

Primal night, giveth sight

Familiar by thy side

If one bе gone, we carry on

Spirit as our guide

Down, down, down thе road

Down the witches’ road (Down the witches' road)

Down, down, down the road (Down the witches' road)

Blood and tears and bone

The road is wild and wicked

Winding through the wood

Where all that’s wrong is right

And all that’s bad is good

Through many miles of tricks and trials

We’ll wander high and low

Tame your fears, a door appears

The time has come to go

Down, down, down the road (Down, down, down, down)

Follow me, my friend

To glory at the end

Subsequent lines to the song are now a huge focal point as they seem to detail what will happen next. This will ostensibly culminate in “glory at the end,” though not without a significant number of stumbling blocks. While some lines are open to interpretation, however, a couple are pretty transparent - andit is here that Marvel has shown that death is already en route for one of Agatha’s coven.

One Line In Agatha’s New Song Is Very Ominous

The second verse will be where the coven picks up inAgatha All Alongepisode 3. While the “Wooded shrine” presumably refers to the forested Witches' Road itself, references to “Primal night,” “Death’s hand,” and “Familiar” are less clear. Yet it is in the penultimate line of the verse that “The Ballad of the Witches' Road"has revealed in no uncertain terms that one of the coven will die, reading “If one be gone, we carry on.“The line suggests that one of them will “Be gone,” AKA dead, while the remaining coven persists.

The “Familiar” could be a reference to Teen after Agatha referred to him as such in episode 2, or Agatha’s rabbit, Señor Scratchy.

The fact that the line comes in the second verse means that this death is probably quite imminent within the show. Whether it occurs in episode 3 remains to be seen, but there is at least a big clue hidden this time in the show’s credits. Taken with yet more evidence outside the show, viewers have started to deduce which of the coven is about to face the chopping block.

How Agatha’s Credits Hint At Marvel’s Next Big Death

Debra Jo Rupp Appears With A Particular Kind Of Flower

As theAgatha All Alongcredits roll, each of the main cast’s names are accompanied by certain images that are quite telling. While most seem relatively intuitive, such as Kathryn Hahn appearing next to the Wicked Witch of the West, Debra Jo Rupp - who portrays Sharon Davis - appears next to some white lilies. While these arguably represent Davis' green thumb,it’s hard to ignore that white lilies in particular typically symbolize death. Of all the flowers that could have been used, the lilies seem pretty flagrant for this reason.

I’m So Worried The MCU Is Going To Kill My New Favorite Character

Following Agatha All Along’s premiere episodes, I’m very worried that the MCU is preparing to imminently kill one of my new favorite characters.

Another outlier, however, is Joe Locke’s name, which appears next to a “Near Death in Westview” headline. While this feels a little more on-the-nose,Joe Locke’s Teen is unlikely to be marked for death for a few reasons- most notable of which being his centrality to the plot. Setting up the mystery of his identity only to kill him off a couple of episodes later would be nonsensical. With that in mind, Davis seems like a far more likely candidate.

It is also worth noting that Joe Locke’s character was run over by Sharon Davis in Westview, thereby being “Near death” since he was near Davis at the time.

This is a sentiment that viewers are both agreed upon and concerned about.

@VintageEpiphany, for example, pointed out that Davis is conspicuously absent from much of the promotional material. This is especially evident in scenes that include Rio Vidal, whose presence on the Witches' Road in the trailer comes with the absence of Sharon Davis, suggesting that she will replace the Green Witch stand-in.

Users like@gaeulbeen, meanwhile, have been sharing concerns that Sharon is about to meet a sticky end, thanks to her immense likability so far.

A wilder theory shared by@inthashadowzsuggests that Sharon Davis is actually Mephisto - a character rumored to be at least mentioned inAgatha All Along. This theory follows from the theory that Sharon is, in fact, a shape-shifted Rio Vidal.

A reply byu/RAMcGonagallvia Reddit, meanwhile, simply hopes that Sharon Davis is resurrected if she is killed off at any point as part of one of the coven’s wishes. Whatever happens, things aren’t looking great for Sharon Davis - and perhapsAgatha All Alongepisode 3 will be where she meets her end.
