She’s a very destructive person. [She] is manipulating the system fully and completely. The evidence starts heading towards that situation where we’re trying to figure it out [what Monica wants]. We don’t know who it might be, but the finale is the biggest reveal for us.

[The LAPD doesn’t know] how much she’s stirring the pot, how many sides she’s playing in this whole thing until the finale episode… [It’s] not clear yet.

Bridget Regan as Monica and Nathan Fillion as Nolan in The Rookie.

[Oscar’s] hands are also in the pot. Somehow those two forces will come together…. The connection between the two, it will not be as clear as people might want it to be by season’s end.

What Jones' Statement Means For Monica’s Return In The Rookie Season 7

She’s Going To Prove A Massive Threat To The Team

Season 7, episode 11 revealedthe pregnant woman was stealing a government official’s key cardduring the bus hijacking, secretly working with Monica in the process. While othercharacters inThe Rookieon the LAPD know she’s involved in something nefarious, she’s determined to keep her connection to the lawyer a secret. This means the hijacking that the episode focused on is just a small part of a much larger plan she has, centered around returning for revenge against John Nolan (Nathan Fillion) and his team.

The Rookie Season 7 Just Lost A Character, And Honestly, I Am Over The Moon About It

Someone got fired in The Rookie season 7, episode 10, and it is honestly the best-case scenario for almost every character (and the audience).

As for Oscar, the extent of his involvement is currently unclear, with Jones even hinting he might not play a huge role before the season ends. This could mean Monica’s story won’t be completed by the time the finale rolls around, making room for her plans to continue intoThe Rookieseason 8. However, this is only because the connection between both antagonists isn’t going to be fully apparent according to Jones, leaving room for more exploration of the conflict if the show doesn’t resolve it by season’s end.
