Didi & Gogo’s Excellent Adventure
The New York Timesreports that Reeves and Winter will star in a Broadway revival ofWaiting for Godotin the fall of 2025. Written by Samuel Beckett,Waiting for Godotis an existentialist masterpiece in which two characters – Vladimir and Estragon – eagerly await the arrival of the titular Godot and engage in thought-provoking discussions as they begin to wonder whether he’ll ever show up.The revival will be directed by Jamie Lloyd, one of the most sought-after directors working in theater.Reeves will play Estragon(or “Gogo”) andWinter will play Vladimir(or “Didi”).
Lloyd told theTimesthat the project was Reeves’ idea. He approached Lloyd about the possibility of revivingWaiting for Godotwith Bill and Ted in the lead roles and Lloyd jumped at the opportunity.
