When aStardew Valleyplayer tried to play a trick on their friend, it went horribly wrong and placed them both in a ridiculous predicament.Stardew Valleyis a wholesome game that’s home to many positive interactions and not typically a place for any kind of bullying. One player apparently didn’t get the memo and tried to bully their friend by trapping them inside the house, only to discover they played themselves in the process.

Stardew Valleyhas onlyrecently added multiplayer modeandsome players just can’t resist the urge to have some fun with their companions. RedditorBasirumawas playing a trick on a friend who was in-game with them when their own joke backfired, landing both players in an unfortunate situation. The player who shared the image added some more context, saying “Uh I messed up trying to bully my friend, neither of us have axes and we can’t interact with the chests.”

Stardew Valley Player Gets Trapped Trying To Be A Bully

Player Tries To Trap Their Companion Inside

The image shared by Basiruma shows the two players' characters standing on the porch of their home. In front of the porch, and blocking the only way out of the house, arethree fence posts and a geode statue. Just outside their prison is the treasure chest containing, presumably, an axe they could use to chop down the fencing.

What Should You Do With Your First Prismatic Shard In Stardew Valley?

Prismatic Shards are exceptionally rare and have many use in Stardew Valley, so it’s tough to know what to do when you finally find one.

Lucky for the player, RedditorMunyamu/Reddithas an ingenious solution to the problem: “You still have wood in your inventory, so you can pick up the Standing Geode by hand, build two more fences to put them in the corners, build a gate and put it in the middle and walk out.” This solution uses alittle-known feature ofStardew Valley, thatit’s possible to build gates directly into fences, rather than into holes where the fences will be. In fact, building a gate into an existing fence will have that gate take on the color of the fence it’s built into.

Other players have suggested waiting the fence out, as it will eventually decay. Another idea is to allow the characters to pass out outside the home, which should send them back to the cabin and allow them to retrieve their tools.

Redditors Comment On How This Stardew Mishap Sounds Like A Riddle

“You Look In A Mirror And See What You Saw”

Commentors have chimed in about the players' dilemma, comparing it to a brain teaser. Reddit userawkwardfeatherpoints out that “this sounds like that riddle about being in a room with a mirror and a table.” Other Redditors fill in the rest of the riddle and its solution, which concerns a sequence of nonsensical events that help someone escape from a room. One part of the riddle reads: “You look in the mirror and see what you saw./You take the saw and saw the table in half./Put the halves together, two halves make a whole (hole)./Put the hole on the wall and you’re out!.”

Stardew Valleyisn’t immune to bugs and glitches, though they’re usually either silly and funny or so ridiculous thatplayers wish they were a featureand not a bug. This is probably not the only time that someone has gotten stuck inside a fence, but it might be the first time that they were on the wrong side of the fence, preventing any means of escape. In this particular case, though, it seems the problem was between the chair and the keyboard. Hopefully, theStardew Valleyplayer will think twice next time before attempting any shenanigans on their friends.
