WARNING! Spoilers for What If…? Galactus Transformed Hulk? #1
TheHulkis getting ready to battleGalactus, and I have a feeling he won’t be fighting alone. Bruce Banner’s intimidating alter ego is one of Marvel’s most fearsome fighters around, and thanks to the Power Cosmic, he’s officially become strong enough to face Galactus. Still, even Hulk can’t eliminate this destructive god on his own, so I predict he will form a new team for that very purpose.
InWhat If…? Galactus Transformed Hulk?#1 by Mat Groom, Lan Medina, Juancho Velez, and Travis Lanham, the Hulk is appointed as Galactus' latest herald. He ends up abandoning his duties before long, though, and the story ends as he charges after Galactus in a fit of rage.

The Hulk’s status asGalactus' most gentle heralddoes not mean he isn’t prepared to fight, but he’ll need all the help he can get.As the Hulk challenges Galactus, other heroes prepare to become heralds in their own stories, and I’m convinced Marvel is setting the stage for the ultimate cosmic team-up.
The Hulk Is Rebelling Against Galactus After Becoming His New Herald
Rather Than Following Galactus, The Hulk Chooses to Fight Back
Once Banner agrees tolet Hulk become a herald of Galactus, he begins traversing the cosmos to scout planets for consumption. However, his loyalty to the World-Eater is flimsy at best, since his priority is warning the inhabitants of each world so they can flee to safety.Galactus' heralds frequently turn against himdue to the cruelty of his objective, and Hulk turns out to be no exception to this cycle. He tries to obey commands, but all it takes is five poignant words from Iron Man to snap him out of it:“The Hulk has no master.”
A Complete Guide to The Hulks' Many Powers And Why Each One Matters
Nearly every Hulk has their own unique power, but these abilities are bound together by the Marvel universe’s deepest evil, the One-Below-All.
While the cliffhanger ending of Hulk pursuing Galactus leaves much to be desired, I have a feeling this isn’t the last we will see of him. Marvel Comics is releasing an entire series ofWhat If…?one-shots where various heroes are upgraded by Galactus, so it’s possible that these stories will culminate in the characters banding together to strike him down. After all, Marvel has set up the formation of teams via one-shots in the past, such as withAnnihilation 2099andConquest 2099.Hulk may be laying the groundwork for an anti-Galactus team’s debut, and his roster would be an impressive one to boot.

The Hulk’s Anti-Galactus Team Would Feature Iconic Marvel Powerhouses
Moon Knight, Spider-Gwen, and More Receive Cosmic Upgrades
Hulk’s teamwill need to be truly formidable if he wants a chance at overthrowing a foe as menacing as Galactus. Luckily, Marvel has teased a potential line-up through its newWhat If…?series. Within these comics, Galactus turns iconic Marvel characters into his heralds by imbuing them with thePower Cosmic, granting them updated forms and enhanced abilities. Aside from Hulk, the following heroes star in these action-packed issues: Gambit, Rogue, Moon Knight, and Spider-Gwen.While they aren’t traditionally allies of the Hulk, their shared connection to - and inevitable grudge against - Galactus makes them an ideal team to combat him.
What If…? Galactus Transformed Gambit?#1 - written by Josh Trujillo with art by Manuel García - is available now from Marvel Comics, while the rest of this series' installments will be released throughout the month of January.

Galactus' might is unrivaled in the Marvel Universe, but Hulk’s heroic peers have what it takes to knock him down a peg.Gambit has already turned against him now that he has developed theopposite of Galactus' powersand can bring dead planets back to life. Moreover, he isn’t the only member of this roster who could be a valuable asset; Moon Knight’s alters grant him unique versatility, Spider-Gwen can combine her web-slinging superpowers with the Power Cosmic, andRogue has even damaged Galactus. With these and other skills in mind, Hulk’s teammates would be worthy opponents for the god.
Does The Hulk’s Super-Team Have the Ability to Destroy Galactus?
The Hulk Could Likely Stand a Chance Against the World-Eater
As awesome as the Hulk’s team looks on paper, a question remains: how would they fare against Galactus? Each of their abilities alone may not be enough to vanquish him, but if they merge their powers, there’s a possibility of them overpowering the god. Even without allies, the Hulk’s newSilver Hulk transformationpropels him to astounding heights. Therefore, having a team full of heroes with similar power-ups would increase his chances exponentially. I’m calling it right now: TheHulkis building a super-powered team, and together, they will rid the universe ofGalactusonce and for all.

The Hulk, a Marvel Comics superhero created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, is physicist Bruce Banner transformed by gamma radiation. He morphs into a giant, green-skinned creature of immense strength and invulnerability when angered.
