Star Trek#22 was written by Jackson Lanzing and Collin Kelly and drawn by Megan Levens. Doctor Crusher, knowing Wesley is presentsomewhere in the Pleroma, goes to his office. Wesley walks in on her, and she is stunned to see how much he has aged. Doctor Crusher engages her son in conversation, asking him questions about the universe and his love life.He informs her he has been too busy with work to pursue love, and that he missed her every single moment.

After his surprise comeback inStar Trek: Picard’sseason two finale, Wesley returned in season two ofStar Trek: Prodigy.
Played by Wil Wheaton, Wesley Crusher began as a teenage prodigy aboard theEnterprise, before being promoted to Acting Ensign and finally, Starfleet cadet. However, Wesley grew disillusioned with his studies, yearning for something more. Salvation came in the form of the Travelers, guardians of time and space in theStar Trekuniverse. The group had shown a keen interest in Wesley from the very beginning, and recruited him duringStar Trek: The Next Generation’sfinal season. Nothing more was seen of Wesley untilPicard’sseason two finale, and even then it was only a tantalizing glimpse.

Despite Wesley’s fleeting appearance in the episode, the season revealed a great deal about the Travelers and their underlings, the Supervisors. The life of a Traveler is not easy, as they diligently work to ensure the universe flows properly. They can travel through timelines and universes, and seemingly answer only to the gods. Wheaton himself penneda Wesley Crusher storyfor 2022’sStar Trek#400, revealing that Travelers are not allowed to visit former family and acquaintances. In the story, Wesley bucked this trend by visiting Picard, and revealing that he was slowly dying.
