In a new free update toStarfield, players can now acquire aPlanet Rover known as the Rev-8. This is a great vehicle that you can take on the road and traverse the planets in style instead of on foot. It is basically the space buggy that players have been asking for for a long time.
WhileStarfieldhas a number of spaceships, therepreviously were no vehicles you could use to traverse the various planetsyou found along the way. Luckily, in the new update, you can get yourself one.Unfortunately, as of right now, there is only one optionalthough more may be added later.

Getting The Rev-8 Planet Rover In Starfield
The Right Man For The Job
Currently, there is only one known way to get the Rev-8, and that is byfinding the Ship Services Technician. The Rev-8 is considered an extension of your ship inStarfield. These technicians can be found inmost inhabited cities near landing bays.
Normally, this is the same guy who canrepair your ship for a certain amount of credits,and sometimes sell you new ships as well. Now, he has an added range of options, and you will want to click on the“I’d like to purchase a vehicle”one.
From there, you will see the only optionfor sale for a whopping 25,000 Credits. Spend this much and you will add the Nova Galactic Rev-8 to your collection, and you may start customizing it to your liking. Right now, it isonly color schemes that are changeable.
Now, whenever you park your ship, at a landing bay or in the wild, you willsee your trusty Rev-8 parked next to itand you’re able to zip around. Quite literally as well because this Rover canboost, jump, fire a gun, and has handy dandy headlights equipped. You can also open your scanner and change the perspective.
Additionally, when you go for a ride, youractiveStarfieldcompanionwilljoin you in the passenger’s seat, allowing you to spend the adrenaline-filled Rover rides exploring each planet with your friend (or more) by your side. You can evendrive the Rover around in cities like New Atlantisif you want to show off a bit more.
While you can basically take your Rover anywhere, it islimited by it’s sizeso be careful not to get stuck.
