As most players will know, crafting is one of the most crucial components toMinecraft, but there is an item that will auto-craft for you called a Crafter. These items have debatable usability, depending on what you need them for. This is because the process of auto-crafting can sometimes be more tedious than the process of crafting the thing yourself. However, letting a stock of certain items pile up while you’re off doing other thingsis no bad thing and can be time-saving in the long run.
Crafting inMinecraftis anessential function, and you cannot survive the game withoutit in most cases. You might have some instances of challenges trying to go without crafting or only crafting certain objects, but at its core, this game wants you to craft all of these things. Automating this process can make things easier, and it is a little moresatisfying to watch the chests fill up with items.

How To Make a Crafter
Collecting The Right Materials
Making a Crafter is not that hard, but finding the materials might be. Thehardest part of this recipe is the Dropper and Crafting Table needed, as you will need to craft those items first before being able to make this recipe. Of course, if you have the right Silk Touchenchantment inMinecraft, you can findthese in the wild, collect them, and bring them back to your base.

You will also need a separate Crafting Table to put this recipe into, with the boxes in the above table corresponding to the nine slots on a Crafting Table.
The Crafting Table can bemade with four sets of planks in four boxes. The Dropper is a little bit different:

Cobblestone
Once you’ve done this, you canstart setting up an Auto-Craft system that allows you to have an item made repeatedlywithout having to touch a Crafting Table once it’s made.
How To Auto-Craft
Repeating Items
This is the part where it can be tricky, as figuring out exactly how to set up a system can be time-consuming. Luckily, players likeYouTuber Mumbo Jumbohave been working on figuring it out since these items became available. As you’re able to see, setting up a system to drop something like a Pickaxe can be quite easy, but if you want to set up something complicated like a Dispenser, it will take a lot more work.
The main thing to remember is that the front of the Crafter pops out the item when finished. If you want it to work while you are away, you will have to attach a chest to the front so that it fills up the chest instead of dropping it on the ground. You can alsoeither load up items into the Crafter itself or set up a system to have it load from a Hopper.

You can alsoblock off certain slotsto ensure you are making the right item. With a Pickaxe, for instance, you will want toblock off row 2 and 3 on the left and right side, leaving the center and top row open. This allows the Crafter to put the pieces in the right spots and spit out a Pickaxe over and over again.
To Auto-Craft, you will have tohook up aRedstone system inMinecraftto a button, allowing the Crafter to work as long as it has the necessary ingredients to make the recipe. If you are feeding it through hoppers, you will need tomake sure they are in order based on the slots of the item you are crafting; otherwise, they will not end up in the right slots. With the Pickaxe, you will want the diamonds to drop into the first three hoppers with the wood in the last two.

To see some practical examples of these kinds of Auto-Crafters, see another one ofMumbo Jumbo’s videos to see what kinds of things you can make to make your survival journey in Minecraft a little easier.
However, while the idea of Auto-Crafting starts out easy,it can get more and more complicated. Use the resources out there, like Mumbo Jumbo’s channel, to get a good idea of what they can do. Have fun experimenting and figuring things out for yourself using this Auto-Craft system inMinecraftusing Crafters.
