There are not many Secret Source Automaton: Hunter-Seekers in Natlan as of Version 5.0 – in fact, only seven Source Automaton: Hunter-Seekers can be currently found. Their locations are detailed in the official interactive map onHoYoLAB. Their scarcity across Natlan during Version 5.0 can make it tough to farm the right items, such as the Ascension materials used for thebest weapon in Kachina’s build inGenshin Impact, the 4-star polearm Footprint of the Rainbow. For reference,Source Automaton: Hunter-Seekers drop the Axis of the Secret Source, Sheath of the Secret Source, and Heart of the Secret Source materials.

The seventh and final Source Automaton: Hunter-Seeker is also located east of the People of the Springs tribe and south of Ameyalco Waters. Unlike the Wayob Manifestations and the Avatars of Lava elite enemies, theSecret Source Automaton: Hunter-Seeker is a single type of enemy that does not, currently, have any variants. As such, when facing them, you do not need to expect alternative movesets or prepare different team comps based on their variant elemental types. Instead, Secret Source Automaton: Hunter-Seeker operates a little bit differently. While its attacks only deal Pyro DMG, it is not aligned to a specific element. This can be seen in the fact that it does not have any specific increased elemental Resistances inGenshin Impact.
This opponent, in its normal state, has increased Resistance against all types of damage, be they elemental or Physical. In its ordinary state, Secret Source Automaton: Hunter-Seekers will use a few melee attacks, including a forward dash that can close the distance with your active character. Its specialty, however, is firing several types of ranged attacks. From an orbital strike to a sequence of laser beams that resemble those used by theKnave boss inGenshin Impact, Secret Source Automaton: Hunter-Seekers strike fast and hard from afar. Its most powerful attack revolves around the usage of Nightsoul mechanics from Natlan.
Whenever your characters enter and maintain the Nightsoul’s Blessing state the Secret Source Automaton: Hunter-Seeker enemy will accumulate points of Adaptive Countermeasures. When this gauge is filled – something that requires around seven Nightsoul’s Blessing activations – the opponent will fire a powerful laser beam after charging for a short period. This is its strongest attack but, in compensation,while it is firing and for some seconds after the beam finishes, all of Secret Source Automaton: Hunter-Seekers’ Resistances are significantly decreased, making it a perfect time to strike for augmented damage against this elite enemy inGenshin Impact5.0.
Some of the battles against Secret Source Automaton: Hunter-Seekers are in pairs, so be wary of both enemies on the field, even if you should focus on taking down one before the other.
