Knox investigating the wall in the Mechanical in Silo season 2’s episode 4

Since the citizens of Silo 18 never talked about any other rebellions, it was hard not to believe that only one rebellion happened before the show’s present timeline. Silo 18 also celebrates an annual holiday, touted as the “Freedom Day,” which commemorates the victory over the previous rebellion. This, too, suggests that previous rebellions have been long forgotten. However,Siloseason 2’s episode 4suggests that unbeknownst to most citizens, more rebellions have happened in the past.

How Long Solo Has Been In The Vault In Silo

Solo’s odd behavior when Juliette meets him Silo season 2’s opening episodes makes it hard not to wonder how long he lived in his vault in Silo 17.

Seeing the names on the wall, Knox deduces that the rebellion they grew up hearing about was only the last one. Before that, every generation had its own rebellion. According to the timeline inHugh Howey’sSilobooks, the silos were first created in 2049, and humans accommodated them in 2052. Juliette’s arc unfolds in 2345, 293 years after the silos were first occupied. If one generation is assumed to last for 25 years, close to 12 generations lived in Silo 18 in the 293 years. This could mean that, based on the books' timeline, as many as ten rebellions might have happened.
