A long-awaited character skin forHonkai: Star Rail3.0 has allegedly leaked, showing players a glimpse of what they can expect in terms of the first cosmetic outfit for one of their playable units. It’s been a long time since leaks have been mentioning that the turn-based RPG by HoYoverse would receive character skins and, so far, none have been added to the title. March 7th has changed her outfit by changing her playable Path – once she swaps into theMarch 7th (Hunt) form inHonkai: Star Rail, she changes into the Swordsmaster outfit.
This outfit, however, is confined exclusively to her separate gameplay kit. Her Preservation form, for example, cannot equip the Swordsmaster skin. Other than that particular case, the game does not feature any alternative outfits for characters like HoYoverse’s other RPG,Genshin Impact.Over the past year, the rumors about the addition of a skin system have intensified. In fact, some claims say thatcharacter skins inHonkai: Star Railare closer than ever, even if the developer has not yet made an official announcement about it. Now, there’s new leaked information about outfits in the game.

March 7th May Be The First Character To Get A Skin In Honkai: Star Rail
The Outfit May Be Exclusive For Her Preservation Form
There had already been rumors that, on top of her Swordsmaster outfit, March 7th would be the first character to get a skin in the turn-based RPG. Now, somenew information from the leaker known as Dim essentially confirms that the Astral Express crew member will receive an alternative skin. The leak was shared in a post onReddit. The image posted by the leaker shows March 7th wearing an elegant white and blue dress with long sleeves. On her head, she wears a crown. There are also extra adornments on March 7th’s leakedoutfit inHonkai: Star Rail.
I’m Concerned For One Of Honkai: Star Rail 3.0’s Leaked Rerun Banners
The rerun characters for Honkai: Star Rail 3.0 have allegedly leaked and, as exciting as some units are, there may be a problematic rerun.
The image shows March 7th holding something enveloped in different types of cloth in her left hand, while her right arm is extended upward, in the direction of a falling snowflake. While unconfirmed, this seems to be indicative of March 7th’s Preservation form, which uses Ice as the element in combat. If this is the case, there is a chance that this leaked skin will be used exclusively on March 7th’s Preservation formand will, in turn, not be usable while the character is in her Hunt form inHonkai: Star Rail. Of course, this is only speculation for now.

March 7th’s Leaked Skin In Honkai: Star Rail Was Shown Over A Year Ago
The Outfit First Appeared During A Quest In 2023
Even though the leaked skin is, essentially, a new outfit that March 7th may be able to wear, this is not the first time this dress has been seen. In fact, the outfit shown in the leak is the exact same one worn by March 7th during Jolted Awake From a Winter Dream. For reference, this Trailblaze Continuance Mission was released in 2023, back in Version 1.4. As such, the coding for this character’s skin exists and was teased over a year ago. The outfit, however, was not equippable for players and only appeared during theHonkai: Star Railquest.
Honkai Star Rail Leaks: New Character Form Sheds Hope For Future Updates
A classic character from Honkai: Star Rail may get a brand-new form in Version 3.X patches, shedding hope for other outdated and powercrept units.
The initial leaks about skins in the game had already hinted at March 7th being one of the first characters in the game to receive outfits, so the new leak stacks with the previous rumors about the cosmetic option. This skin’s formal introduction following the teaser in 2023 should come as no surprise since it’d feel like a wasted opportunity to have March 7th wear a fully designed outfit and then not make it available. While March 7th is in the spotlight with this leak, there are actually rumors oftwo character skins inHonkai: Star Rail’s future updates.

The Second Character Skin In Honkai: Star Rail Could Be Kafka’s
The Outfits May Be Released Together
The previous leaks had mentioned that both March 7th and Kafka would receive skins and this rumor was just sustained by a recent leak. According to information provided by the leaker known as Sakura Haven, which was shared onReddit, the skin system in the game will feature two different rarities for outfits, somewhat similar toGenshin Impact. The leak also says thatthe rumored March 7th skin will be free for players for a limited time, but that players will be able to purchase it from the shop after the period.
For reference, inGenshin Impact, skins for 4-star characters tend to be given out for free via events. During the skin’s release, players must meet certain requirements in the patch’s flagship event to unlock the outfit. After the outfit’s availability period in the event is over, it’s added to the store from a premium purchase This may very well be the case withHonkai: Star Rail, too.

The leak also says that March 7th’s skin is likely related to Belobog. This not only goes hand-in-hand with the image leak that shows the outfit she wore during a quest in Belobog, but the rumor also says that this is represented by the bunting she holds in her hand. Furthermore, the leak says that March 7th’s skin was originally planned to be released in Version 1.4, but that it was held back for some reason. If the leaks about the proximity of character skins are true, more details should arise closer to the release ofHonkai: Star Rail3.0.
Lastly, the leak says that the next skin in the game could be for Kafka. There’s a chance this character outfit will be made available after the release of March 7th’s leaked skin or, alternatively, released together with it. If the turn-based RPG is followingGenshin Impact’s example,it’s likely that March 7th and Kafka’s skins will be released in the same patch. The main difference would be that, as a 4-star character, March 7th’s skin would be obtainable for free during a short period, while the skin forKafka inHonkai: Star Railwould be a premium purchase, exclusively.

Honkai Star Rail 3.0 Leaks: There’s Great News For Players Who Don’t Get The Herta
While players who skip The Herta in Honkai: Star Rail may miss out on some abilities, there’s an item that may compensate players who don’t have her.
Even with the large amount of rumors pointing toward March 7th and Kafka skins in the near future, the leaks should still be considered with caution. The leaks may be incorrect and, even if they are accurate, the entire skin system may be subject to changes or postponed – the rumors do say that the skin system was postponed from Version 1.4 up until now, so it really depends on whether HoYoverse is ready to make that move. If it is, the company will likely make an announcement for it in an upcomingHonkai: Star Raillivestream.
