It was recently moved to Fridays at 8 PM ET, and so far, the increase in viewership is not enough to warrant a season 2 renewal. However, the show is well-liked by executives, andit could move to the NBCUniversal-owned streaming service Peacock.

The reality facing NBC is thatit still has several renewal decisions to make, most of which happen to be drama shows. Now, in its seventh installment, at this time of writing,the dramedy averages about 1.5-1.7 million per episode when short-term delayed viewership is factored in.

It has already staged a fun reunion between King and Jack Falahee, who starred together inHow to Get Away with Murder. If given time, it could develop more and fully tap into its voice.
