Ghostsseason 4 gets an update from showrunners Joe Port and Joe Wiseman, who confirm that some former characters are returning. The CBS series follows Sam (Rose McIver) and Jay Arondekar (Utkarsh Ambudkar), a married couple living among the deceased occupants of Woodstone Estate. Along with McIver and Ambudkar, the comedy stars Devan Chandler Long, Rebecca Wisocky, Brandon Scott Jones, Danielle Pinnock, Asher Grodman, and more. Beyond itsmainGhostscast,many memorable characters make brief appearances, including visitors of the converted bed and breakfast or spirits attached to other properties.
Speaking withTVLine, Port and Wiseman confirmed that a few notable characters will make their return inGhostsseason 4, which debuts on October 17. While absent from season 3, the showrunnersrevealed that the Farnsbys and Bjorn will feature this season.

With the Farnsbys returning, another contentious interaction or awkward run-in may transpire in season 4. Henry and Margaret Farnsby (portrayed by Mark Linn-Baker and Kathryn Greenwood, respectively) are older neighbors of Woodstone. Following their firm stance against bed and breakfast, and unsuccessful attempts to dissuade Sam and Jay, they created a short-lived rival business. During their last appearance on the show,it was revealed that Henry and Margaret hosted swinging events, andhilariously put their bitterness aside, believing the Arondekars might participate.

Bjorn (Christian Jadah) was introduced in season 2 as the son of Thor (Long), who went searching for his father. Unlike the othercharacters inGhosts, he resides in the Farnsbys’ home and manages to communicate by window. Considering how eager Thor was to reconnect, it was strange that Bjorn never returned in earlier episodes. Bringing him back for season 4 is a potentially exciting opportunity though,especially now that Thor and Flower (Sheila Carrasco) have begun exploring their romance.
Bjorn is joined on the Farnsbys' property by Judy (Lindsey Broad), Henry’s late mother.
It’s worth wondering whether the series will spend more time at the Farnsbys’ home, given the aforementioned returning characters. Should Bjorn remain limited by the same distance issues, it will also be interesting to see if he and Judy grow closer at all.
