AsGenshin Impactcontinues to receive regular updates, the game’s next patch is revisiting a popular event in one of its previous regions, while also introducing a new character. Originally released in 2020,Genshin Impactquickly became a breakout hit for HoYoverse, granting the studio a large amount of mainstream success which then carried over to its later games,Honkai: Star RailandZenless Zone Zero. Even after the launch of two other ongoing games, though,Genshinhas continued to be a strong performer for HoYoverse and continues to receive major updates.
As announced in theGenshin Impact5.4 Special Program,the game’s next patch, releasing on February 12, will revisit the Mikawa Flower Festivalin Inazuma andintroduce Yumemizuki Mizuki, a 5-star Anemo support characterwho can heal allies and boost Swirl reaction damage. Notably, the patch will not include any major content updates for the game’s newest region, Natlan, but will include four other events and three other character banners to serve as re-runs of past banners.

Genshin Impact 5.4 Is Bringing Back The Mikawa Flower Festival
Taking a break from Natlan,Genshin Impact5.4 is revisiting Inazuma with the seasonal event “Enchanted Tales of the Mikawa Festival”, which will center around the Mikawa Flower Festival previously seen in the “Akitsu Kimodameshi” event which took place in patch 3.3. The event will include several new minigames and a new story, including appearances from fan-favorite characters Raiden Shogun and Yae Miko. Completing the event will grant players the 4-star weapon Tamayuratei no Ohanashi, Primogems, and other rewards.

In addition to the Mikawa Festival event, several other events will also run during 5.4, including “Realm of Tempered Valor”, “Invasive Fish Wrangler”, “Reel Ad-venture”, and “Traveler’s Tales: Anthology Chapter”. These events focus on combat challenges, fishing mini-games, film editing minigames, and short, character-associated stories, respectively, and will run at different times throughout the patch, giving players more to do during 5.4

Yumemizuki Mizuki Is Genshin Impact’s Newest 5-Star Character
Alongside the events running in 5.4,the new patch will also introduceGenshin Impact’s newest 5-star character, Yumemizuki Mizuki, a psychologist who can provide healing for allies and increase the damage dealt by Swirl reactions. Mizuki’s limited character banner will run for the first half of 5.4, alongside a re-run banner for Sigewinne, followed by two re-run banners in the second half for Furina and Wriothesley. Notably, unlike most other 5-star characters inGenshin,Mizuki will be added to the pool of Standard Wish banner 5-stars afterGenshin’s 5.5 update.

New details about the rumored battle tower event in Genshin Impact 5.4 have emerged and they show that floor 24 will be impossible to beat.
WhileGenshin5.4 is taking a break from Natlan, the patch should still have plenty of content for players to enjoy, including a new character and re-runs of popular characters like Furina and Wriothesley. In an uncommon move, Mizuki will also eventually become available on the game’s standard banner, meaning that players won’t have to wait for a limited banner re-run, so there isn’t too much pressure to pull in the upcoming update forGenshin Impact.
