Epic Gameshas announced that they are doing awaywith mystery loot boxes inFortnite’s Save the Worldmode, replacing them with transparent goodie packs, allowing players to see what’s inside their Llamas before considering their purchase.
The standard “V-Buck Llamas” are being replaced with the new “X-Ray Llamas” in Update 7.30. These new loot boxes will tell you up-front what’s inside them, and will be refreshed in-store daily. Of course the regularFortnite Battle Royalemode (that originallywasn’tthe “regular” mode) will be keeping the standard mystery Llamas.
Alongside the update, allSave the Worldplayers will get five free Llama Upgrade tokens. Is this change a step toward eradicating what many see as the biggest menace in gaming today. Maybe not, there’s still too much dollar at stake, but it’s a start… maybe?.. perhaps?..
