Marvel Inaugurates A New Era For Amadeus Cho With His Upcoming Anniversary Issue
Amadeus Cho 20th Anniversary Special– Written By Greg Pak; Art By Takeshi Miyazawa, Jethro Morales, & Creees Lee; Available June 24, 2025 From Marvel Comics
According to Marvel, Amadeus Cho will emerge in a new form within the pages of the final story and set the stage for the next chapter of Amadeus Cho. Back in 2015, Cho took over the mantle of the Hulk from Bruce Banner during Marvel’sAll-New, All-Different publishing initiative. In contrast to the original Jade Giant, whose personality and demeanor have fluctuated over the years, Cho retained his immense intelligence. When Banner regained his Gamma powers, Cho reverted to a form weaker than the Hulk but one that still packed a punch while retaining his vast intellect.
Fact: The Hulk’s Power Is Infinite, But It Comes At Too High a Price
While Marvel’s many Hulks possess powerfully savage strength, that power comes at an existentially taxing cost. No Hulk will ever be able to rest.
Likewise, he could revert back to his human form and opted for a new superhero moniker, Brawn. It goes without saying that there are more than enough Hulk characters running around in the Marvel Universe these days. It was only a few months ago thatHulkette arrived on the sceneand just recently announced aHell Hulk will be tormenting Hellverine.Given the plethora of Gamma enhanced characters, it definitelyseems like the right time for Amadeus Cho to ditch the Gamma powers himself and return to a “back to basics” approach that made him such a fan-favorite.
