A fan-favoriteWizards of Waverly Placestar has offered a careful response to their possible return inWizards Beyond Waverly Place, as the new sequel series continues to develop. TheupcomingWizards Beyond Waverly Placeis a sequel to the aforementioned Disney Channel series, focusing on a new wizard, Billie (Janice LeAnn Brown), getting trained by Justin Russo (David Henrie), who previously gave up on a life of magic. While Selena Gomez’s Alex and Jake T. Austin’s Max will only be showing up as guest stars, it doesn’t mean other familiar faces won’t appear in the future.
Speaking withThe Hollywood Reporterduring theWizards Beyond Waverly Placepremiere event, Gregg Sulkin, who portrayed Mason inWizards of Waverly Place, addressed whether he would be making an appearance in the new show. The actor said he could not say if he’ll be making an appearance in the show, instead showing appreciation for all the support he’s gotten over the years during his career. Can’t confirm nor deny it, but I know how much the show means to so many people around the world. And so, for me, I would always be…I would always like to show my gratitude for people who’ve supported me at such a young age, and who have continued to support me at such a young age.
