8Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous Season 1

AlthoughCamp Cretaceousseason 1 wasn’t ‘bad’ by any stretch, it has to come in last when compared with the shows' other seasons simply by nature of it being primarily exposition. Unlike the other seasons, even the first season ofChaos Theory,Camp Cretaceoushad extensive ground to cover in terms of setting the stage for the show. In fact, just the need to introduce and flesh out six main characters, let alone have them all form relationships with one another, took time.

Because of this, season 1 ofCamp Cretaceouscan feel a bit slow at times. Of course, the season picks up its pace considerably when the teenagers end up trapped on the island and realize they must fend for themselves and when they begin facing direct threats from dinosaurs. Even so, in light of how thrilling many of both shows' other seasons are,Camp Cretaceousseason 1 is the weakest overall.

7Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous Season 2

Much Of Season 2 Was Focused On The Kids Being Trapped

Season 2 ofCamp Cretaceouswas a step up from season 1 in terms of the overall action and adventure. This season focused primarily on the six teens fighting to stay alive and survive on Nublar, which often saw them in danger due to the predatory dinosaurs who stalked the island. This also meant thatseason 2 ofCamp Cretaceouswas one of the best seasons of both shows in terms of the number of dinosaurs that were shown.

This season featured a wide variety of dinosaurs, including multiple sightings of the well-known Tyrannosaurus rex, as well as encounters with the terrifying Carnotaurus. Not all the dinosaurs were a threat to the kids, however, and many herbivores, including Stegosaurus and Brachiosaurus, were also seen on the island. Despite the thrill of the dinosaurs, season 2 had a bit of a problem with feeling repetitious. Because the plot involved the teenagers being trapped, it was easy to feel like there were redundancies.

6Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous Season 5

Camp Cretaceous Season 5 Concluded The Beloved Show

Camp Cretaceousseason 5 was the emotional conclusion to the show, and although it saw the six teens finally back home in the end, that didn’t come without its obstacles. In fact,Camp Cretaceousseason 5 managed to introduce brand-new emotional stakesby revealing that Kenji’s own father, Daniel Kon, was the main antagonist. It even briefly seemed as though Kenji was going to join his father and betray his friends, which was a particularly heartbreaking possibility considering Kenji and Brooklynn had developed a genuinely precious romantic relationship in season 4.

Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous' season 5 and series finale reveals the final fate of the Nublar Six and how it all ties into the events of Dominion.

In the end, thankfully, Kenji did not align himself with his father but rather stuck with his friends and prioritized saving the dinosaurs over his family bonds.Camp Cretaceousseason 5 also ends with an epilogue set approximately two years after the conclusion of the showand reveals where each of the six teens ended up once they made it back home. Although this was a conclusion that stuck the landing and wrapped things up well, the season still didn’t quite top the list, in part because it had a lot more plot and a lot fewer dinosaurs.

5Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous Season 4

Camp Cretaceous Season 4 Was Full Of Important Subject Matter

Camp Cretaceousironically saw the children trapped on yet another island that was home to numerous dinosaurs, but it managed to avoid feeling like a recycled plotline. This was in part becauseCamp Cretaceousseason 4 handled complex, heavy subject matter with respect and grace. This was perhaps most notable in Yaz’s character development. Throughout the season, Yaz was battling nightmares because of all she had experienced, and it was clear that she was suffering from something like panic attacks at various points.

In addition to presenting mental health in a realistic and thoughtful way,Camp Cretaceousseason 4 featured one of the most terrifying villains in the entire show — Kash D. Langford. Not only was Kash forcing dinosaurs to fight to the death without remorse, but he also attempted to kill Dr. Mae Turner, and he seemed ready to kill Darius — a child — several times. However, this same plot saw Darius truly stepping into his own in a satisfying way.

Darius bravely threw himself in harm’s way to save the dinosaurs and his friends, remaining at Kash’s side even when his behavior had been so threatening. He managed to survive by outsmarting and manipulating Kash at every turn. This made season 4 ofCamp Cretaceousperhaps Darius' best in terms of character development. This season also thrillingly saw Darius making contact with his older brother, which in turn (heartbreakingly) revealed that the kids' families had believed they were dead.

4Jurassic World: Chaos Theory Season 1

Chaos Theory Season 1 Has A Number Of Shocking Twists

There was a six-year time jump betweenCamp CretaceousandChaos Theory, which led to some major updates between the two shows. In fact, with the main characters aging, the tone of the show also matured, becoming a bit darker and heavier thanCamp Cretaceous, which was much more kid-friendly. Much ofCamp Cretaceousfocused onwhat happened to Brooklynn, as she had been presumed dead throughout the season. Even theChaos Theorytrailer had heavily hinted that Brooklynn was dead.

Viewers were also much more willing to accept this possibility because Jenna Ortega, who had voiced Brooklynn throughoutCamp Cretaceous, had stepped away fromChaos Theory, presumably because she had become a much bigger name since starting on that show. This made it seem all the more likely thatChaos Theoryhad killed off Brooklynn — which not only resolved this issue but also gave the Nublar Six, as they’d become known, a reason to come back together. Shockingly, Brooklynn was instead revealed to have narrowly escaped death.

Brooklynn was instead revealed to have narrowly escaped death.

There had been an attack on Brooklynn’s life because she had been researching illegal dinosaur sales, and when she managed to escape with her life, she decided to go into hiding, both for her own safety and for the safety of her friends and loved ones. The only disappointing aspect of this was Brooklynn’s choice to deceive her friends. While she had the best intentions, it’s a bit surprising that Brooklynn wouldn’t have let her friends know she was safe, particularly given all they’d been through inCamp Cretaceous.

The Broker In Jurassic World: Chaos Theory Fully Explained

The Broker in Jurassic World: Chaos Theory has deeper connections to the franchise that sets up major elements for future seasons and films.

3Jurassic World: Chaos Theory Season 3

Chaos Theory Season 3 Builds On What Came Before While Taking Characters In New Directions

Jurassic World: Chaos Theoryseason 3 starts off incredibly strong, as its narrative picks up immediately after the end of season 2, where the Nublar Six are currently divided. The third season is another incredible addition to not only theChaos Theoryseries but theJurassic Parkfranchise as a whole, especially when a lot of the live-action films fail to live up to the same quality that these animated shows have.

What really helps season 3 shine is its willingness to take its characters in new directions, which helps keepJurassic World: Chaos Theoryfresh as a whole. It also runs parallel to the events ofJurassic World: Dominion, which makes connecting the dots and finding Easter eggs satisfying. Of course, though, the heart of the season continues to be in the more nuanced character interactions thatChaos Theorydoes so well.

2Jurassic World: Chaos Theory Season 2

Chaos Theory Season 2 Was When The True Action Began

Chaos Theoryseason 1 was a brilliant introduction to this new era of Jurassic World, butChaos Theoryseason 2 immediately had more momentum. Because season 1 was effectively picking up the pieces after six years, it took quite some time for the original team (minus Brooklynn, who was believed to be dead) to get back together. Given that the group was the reason for so much of the magic inCamp Cretaceous, it was a bit of a shame that it took several episodes for them to come back together inChaos Theoryseason 1.

Chaos Theoryseason 2 also excitingly made good on the notion of Jurassic World by having the Nublar Six travel the world, protecting dinosaurs across continents. Their main adversary throughout the season was the Broker, also known as Soyona Santos fromJurassic World: Dominion. Interestingly, Brooklynn was working alongside Santos, and the extent to which she is operating undercover remains uncertain.TheChaos Theoryseason 2 endingleft the door open for Brooklynn to actually be working with Santos, which would have massive implications for a possible season 3.

1Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous Season 3

Camp Cretaceous Season 3 Is Full Of Action, Friendship, And Bravery

Camp Cretaceousseason 3 may be the most action-packed season of them all. In fact, yet again despite being targeted to children, this season features intense themes and moments that have even older viewers on the edge of their seats. One of the most shocking of the season comes when Brooklynn is kidnapped and held prisoner by Dr. Henry Wu and his bodyguard, Hawkes. Ultimately, Brooklynn is rescued by her friends, but the decisions that put her life on the line cause rifts within the group, especially between Kenji and Darius.

This season also sees numerous face-offs between the group of friends and the Scorpios rex, a terrifying hybrid dinosaur. In addition to the action, though, season 3 also saw some very touching moments for the group. Sammy and Yaz’s friendship was cemented after Yaz had resisted the idea that they were true friends, and Ben, who had considered staying behind, realized that he needed the other kids. All in all, season 3 is the best season overall betweenJurassic World: Camp CretaceousandJurassic World: Chaos Theory, as it combines thrilling action sequences with deep character development.
