Jurassic World Rebirthis filled with dinosaurs that are new and old for the franchise. The seventh movie in theJurassicfranchise is a continuation of theJurassic Worldseries. It picks up five years afterJurassic World Dominion’s endingand turns the focus to a new group of characters. None of the human characters from the originalJurassic Parktrilogy or the recentJurassic Worldtrilogy return. The new installment instead focuses on humanity attempting to collect DNA from three of the largest dinosaurs to help create a scientific breakthrough that could cure human diseases.
With the synopsis promising the biggest dinosaurs from the land, air, and sea, seeing which creatures would be inJurassic World Rebirthis one of the film’s appeals. Speculation about which prehistoric beings would appear ran rampant after the film was first announced. That list could be narrowed down thanks to the premise, but there will be more dinosaurs than just the three biggest ones. Thanks to various details confirmed about the movie, including theJurassic World Rebirthtrailer, there is a clear picture of which ones are in the movie. Here is every dinosaur confirmed forJurassic World Rebirth.

11Titanosaurus
The Sauropod Makes Its Franchise Debut
The Titanosaurus appears inJurassic World Rebirthas Zora Bennett (Scarlett Johansson) and Henry Loomis (Jonathan Bailey) spot them in the field they are standing in.The scene is reminiscent of the originalJurassic Parkwhen Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill), Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern), and Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) see the Brachiosaurus for the first time.
The Titanosaurus might be from the same group as the Brachiosaurus, but it is noticeably different in appearance through the spine on the top of its neck and lower back, as well as the longer, skinnier tale. This marks the first time the Titanosaurus has appeared in theJurassicmovies.

The creature was previously referenced inLEGO Jurassic World: Legend of Isla Nublar, which is not canon to the main movies and TV shows. The Titanosaurus is also one of the three dinosaurs that Zola and her team must specifically recover DNA from, but it’s also the most peaceful of the bunch.
10Quetzalcoatlus
The Giant, Flying Creature Returns
The Quetzalcoatlus is inJurassic World Rebirthrepeatedly, as there are multiple of them in the film. This includes the one Zora and Henry encounter as they attempt to steal the dinosaur’s DNA from an egg. This is because the Quetzalcoatlus is the biggest dinosaur in the air.
The sequence revolves around them going into ancient ruins in the side of a cliff and extracting the DNA before the mother Quetzalcoatlus returns. This does not go as planned, leading to Zora attempting to fight off the pterosaur before Henry falls to his death.Jurassic World Rebirthmarks the first return of the Quetzalcoatlus in the franchise.

The azhdarchid pterosaur made its debut inJurassic World Dominion, where multiple of them are shown throughout the film. There are three of them were last seen flying together with geese and Pteranodons.Three of the Quetzalcoatlus are also shown circling in the sky inJurassic World Rebirth, indicating these could be the same ones fromDominion.
This would make sense since the main plot revolves around dinosaurs dying and struggling to acclimate to their new environments. The Quetzalcoatlus is one of the three dinosaurs Zola’s team were sent after, with the group procuring her DNA at a steep cost.

9Velociraptor
The Raptors Are Back
Velociraptors are a mainstay of theJurassicmovies, and it is confirmed that they are featured again inJurassic World Rebirth. One is teased to be in the proximity of Henry and another human character at night, as what appears to be velociraptor’s feet and claws are shown walking through water.
However, this was actually a fake-out. While velociraptors do appear in the film, it’s only briefly. In fact, one of them is quickly picked off and killed by one of the Mutadons, which helps establish the dangerous potential of this new creature.

8Mutadon
The New Raptors Come With Some New Tricks
The Mutadons are some of the mutant dinosaurs introduced inJurassic World Rebirth. The creatures are mutated velociraptors, with the added benefit of pterosaur-like wings that give them the ability to take flight. This gives the creatures a unique advantage over their genetic predecessors, as the audience discovers when a mutadon kills a velociraptor.
The Mutadons are some of the most dangerous new creatures inJurassic World Rebirth. Escaping them is a big part of the film’s action-packed climax, as their sleek bodies and quick maneuverability make them ideal hunters. Their ability to fly might also make them one of the more mobile creatures in the franchise.

7Distortus Rex
Jurassic World Rebirth Creates A Brand New Dinosaur
Sticking to the tradition of theJurassic Worldmovies, the fourth installment introduces a brand new hybrid dinosaur known as the Distortus Rex or D-Rex.The monstrous design is inspired by the Rancor fromStar Wars, the Xenomorph fromAlien, and more, creating a new and terrifying foe for humanity.
It is seen a few different times terrorizing the mainJurassic World Rebirthcharacters. One instance puts Duncan Kincaid (Mahershala Ali) in grave danger, while another potential flashback shows the dinosaur attacking a scientist in a research facility. The D-Rex comes from Site C, the secret research facility for the original Jurassic Park.

It is one of the failed creations that was deemed to be too dangerous to be present in the original park. That implies some level of hybrid mutation went into its creation. The full scale ofJurassic World Rebirth’s monster dinosaur’s strength and abilities is unknown, but it is referred to asone of the"worst of the worst"dinosaursto come from the original research projects.
6Dilophosaurus
A Familiar Dinosaur Comes Back
The Dilophosaurus returns to the franchise as it is featured encountering a girl from a family stranded on the secret Site C island. The theropod is shown with its frills exposed, signaling it is about to attack or feels endangered. The Dilophosaurus can spit venom at potential enemies up to 20 feet away, so it would have to get much closer to actually attack someone..
Jurassic World Rebirthis the third time that the Dilophosaurus has been seen in theJurassicmovies. It was one of the original dinosaurs inJurassic Parkand is only encountered by Dennis Nedry. It took decades for the Dilophosaurus to return properly, as it was not seen again untilJurassic World Dominion- not counting the hologram appearance inJurassic World.

5Tyrannosaurus Rex
The Iconic Dinosaur Returns In A Big Way
It wouldn’t be aJurassicmovie without the T-Rex, so it is not a surprise that a Tyrannosaurus Rex is inJurassic World Rebirth. The movie includes a T-Rex living on Site C. This includesJurassic World Rebirth, which revives a scene cut from the original movie. The T-Rex chases the main characters down a river in a sequence similar to one featured in Michael Crichton’s novel.
The result is another opportunity to show how scary and dangerous the Tyrannosaurus Rex can be to humans. It is worth noting that this is not the franchise’s original T-Rex, lovingly known by fans as Rexy. Rexy was last seen inJurassic World Dominionin the remains of the Biosyn sanctuary.

Since the majority ofJurassic World Rebirthtakes place on Site C, there is no way for Rexy to have made it back to this island. Furthermore, the T-Rex featured here has a slightly different appearance than the franchise’s iconic apex predator. It could even have some mutations of its own if it was too dangerous to go to Jurassic Park.
4Spinosaurus
The Jurassic Park III Dinosaurs Return At Last
The Spinosaurus is back in the franchise for the first time sinceJurassic Park III. The 2001 trilogy conclusion marked the introduction of the Spinosaurus as the main threat for Alan Grant and others. Thanks to the dinosaur’s terrifying presence and great design, there was always a contingent of fans who wanted to see them return.
This did not happen in the first threeJurassic Worldmovies, but nowJurassic World Rebirthhas brought the Spinosaurus back in a glorious way. The role of theSpinosaurus inJurassic World Rebirthis a bit different. For starters, there are three of them featured in this movie, as opposed to the single dinosaur inJurassic Park III.

The biggest sequence with the dinosaurs comes as they attack a boat with all the main characters aboard. They are shown leaping out of the water and attempting to climb onto the boat to eat the passengers. There is also a notable difference in their role as they are not the biggest predator around and are instead working with the largest sea creature.
3Mosasaurus
The Mosasaur Keeps Threatening Humanity
The Mosasaurus also returns inJurassic World Rebirthas part of the boat attack sequence, with the Spinosaurus dinosaurs helping it. The gargantuan underwater creature enters the plot as the biggest dinosaur in the water, making it a central part of the mission Zora and Henry are on. They get an up-close look at just how large the Mosasaurus is during the boat attack.
Jurassic World Rebirthmarks the fourth consecutive appearance by the Mosasaurus in the franchise’s films. The originalJurassic Worldwas the first time that the Mosasaurus appeared in the series, as it was the centerpiece attraction at the reopened park.
Its escape paved the way for additional appearances inJurassic World: Fallen KingdomandJurassic World Dominion. It was confirmed to still be alive at the end of the trilogy, and now it appears to have found its way close to Site C as it attempts to survive. It’s also one of the dinosaurs that Zola’s team needs a DNA sample from.
2Ankylosaurus
An Ankylosaurus is A Clever Reference To Another Jurassic Franchise Entry
There’s a brief shot of an Ankylosaurus inJurassic World Rebirth, with Martin Krebs' attempts to escape the island upended when one of the dinosaurs crosses his path and gets in his way. The Ankylosaurus have appeared in previous films, but has only really played an important part in the animatedJurassic Worldspin-offs,Camp CretaceousandChaos Theory.
In those shows, Ben develops a close bond with a female Ankylosarus that he dubs “Bumpy.” Bumpy (and eventually her eggs) have been a consistent element of those animated shows. A similar-looking Ankylosaurus to Bumpy is the one who crosses Kreb’s path, making this moment feel like a sly tribute to the animated shows.
