Eurovision & Scandal Are Just In Part 1
Between her singing career and her relationship with Nicolas, Mindy has a lot on her plate. But, when she finds out that her band must pay their own to EurovisionandJVMA is embroiled in a sexual harassment scandal revolving around her boyfriend’s father, things get even more complicated. On the JVMA story, Park says,“Whenever there’s a big issue tackled like that, I can only focus on what my job is, which is what my character’s trajectory is.”
Mindy makes sure to stand with those speaking out against Louis de Leon, even if it causes tension with her boyfriend. Mindy, though, is no stranger to complicated father-child relationships.“I like that it opened up this way of her and Nicolas challenging and supporting each other when it came to relationships with their fathers,“Park says,"[It gives] him the courage to stand up to him, which he eventually does, in the same way that [Mindy] was able to do that with her dad.”

It’s a wild and challenging thing to get these big pieces together.
In part 1 ofEmily in Parisseason 4, Mindy doesn’t get to do much singing, but Park promises that part 2 will see the Eurovision story take off.“The musical numbers in the second half of this season are really [good],“Park says before adding,“It’s a wild and challenging thing to get these big pieces together.“Luckily, Park has full confidence in series director Andy Fleming, who has been with the show since season 1.

“Andy Fleming, all the big performance numbers, he has been the director of,“Park explains,“He has such a great vision and I always know that I feel very safe in how he’s going to film it.“Audiences will have to wait until part 2 to see those big numbers, though.
Lucien Laviscount On Alfie & Emily’s Relationship In Part 1
Things Are Quite Complicated For Alfie At The Start Of Season 4
When the season begins, Emily and Alfie are no more.Emily’s happy endingmay be far off, especially when it comes to mending things with Alfie. However, Laviscount believes that there is a level of understanding between the two, even if they only remain friends:“They have a level of respect for each other,“he says, continuing,“They’re just taking a little bit of a beat to figure out what’s right for themselves in this time.”
That doesn’t mean Alfie won’t be there for Emily, though, as evidenced by him showing up to help with the AMI campaign.“Alfie will always turn up fairly no matter the situation because of what they now have,“Laviscount says before teasing resolution in the future,“So who knows what will come of that.”
