What The Eddington Image Means For The Movie
What Is It About?
The first image fromEddingtononly features two members of its unbelievably star-studded cast, which also includestwo-time Oscar winner Emma Stone, Oscar nominee Austin Butler,Yellowstone’s Luke Grimes, Deirdre O’Connell, Micheal Ward, Clifton Collins Jr., and more. However, the fact that the first image only features Joaquin Phoenix and Pedro Pascal could suggest that they are the film’s leads, with the latter reportedly playing the town’s mayor. Ari Aster’s Next Movie Just Became Way More Exciting (Despite His $35 Million Box Office Bomb)
Ari Aster’s last movie may have been a box office bomb, but an update regarding his next project generates plenty of excitement regardless.
Aster’s last movie,Beau Is Afraid, is best described as a surrealist tragicomedy about an anxiety-ridden man who embarks on a Kafkaesque odyssey back home for his mother’s funeral, andEddingtonseems equally difficult to pin down. It’s been described as a contemporary Western that also blends elements of a black comedy and reportedlyfollows a couple stranded in a seemingly welcoming New Mexico town, which takes a sinister turn by nightfall. Phoenix’s sheriff is said to have higher aspirations with his sights set on the mayor’s office, which could be the reason for their rivalry.
