New Line of Daima Collectibles Features a New Mystery Character

Dragon Ball Daima’s latest collectibles are featured in a promotional image, including figures of Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta, Shin, Panzy, Gomah, and one, yet to be revealed, mystery character. Given the manyhints towards an upcoming fusionthroughout the anime’s wildly popular run, there’s reason to believethis unknown character will be an all-new fused fighter. Fans might take notice of the absence of a Goku figure, and point to the series' protagonist as the most likely candidate to fill that spot in the lineup.

There is a precedent for this sort of release, however, as another line of gashapon figures released in 2018accidentally revealedDragon Ball Super: Broly’s Gogetato the world before the film’s release. This time around, it seems Bandai is taking more caution so as not to leak any information before the anime can reveal the identity of this mystery character. Goku is currently in possession of Join Bugs, a new method for fusion, andDragon Ball Daimawouldn’t have much else to hide from its audience than an all-new fighter.

Dragon Ball Daima Has the Opportunity to Introduce an All-New Fusion

Fusion is one ofDragon Ball’s most exciting techniques, and despite their sparse appearances,Vegito and Gogeta remain two of the franchise’s most popular characters. The methods for bringing the fusions about are quite simple; Vegito is the product of the Potara earrings, while Gogeta is the product of the fusion dance.Dragon Ball Daima, however, has introduced an all-new fusion method, using Join Bugs as the catalyst of the transformation. Because Vegito and Gogeta are tied specifically to their fusing techniques, it would only be natural that a new fighter would be the product of the bugs.

Dragon Ball DAIMA Introduces A New Type Of Fusion, The Franchise’s First Since the Buu Arc

Dragon Ball Daima has just introduced a new way for two characters to fuse, the first such new method since the end of Dragon Ball Z decades ago.

Fusion inDragon Ball Daimais just a matter of time, and the upcoming release of new collectible figures from Bandai seems to allude to that fact. The anime is expected towrap up on July 30, 2025, so fans can expect that the mysterious character in the image to be revealed very shortly.
