What’s New In Diablo 4: Vessel Of Hatred (Gameplay Details)
The Nahantu Region, Spiritborn Class, Mercenaries, & More
Vessel of HatredcontinuesDiablo 4’s main campaign, adding several new features. Most prominent is a new chapter set in the jungle region of Nahantu. This new map will feature a fresh set of dungeons, unique enemy types, and untapped Strongholds to conquer. Players will face off against demons, wild animals, and warring factions as they explore the dense greenery of Nahantu, searching for Neyrelle and attempting to put an end to Mephisto’s scheming.
to do so,players may need to rely on the powers ofthe new Spiritborn class. Wielding glaives, polearms, and quarterstaves, Spiritborn is a highly mobile class that can call upon its Spirit Guardians to activate a variety of different abilities.
Diablo 4: What Is Crackling Energy & How To Use It
Crackling Energy is a bonus resource for Sorcerers in Diablo 4. It allows them to deal more damage, reduce cooldowns, and recover mana.
Players will also be able to hire Mercenaries inVessel of Hatred, effectively friendly NPCs who can aid them in battle. Mercenaries can level up and get stronger over time, much like players themselves. It’s unknown exactly how Mercenaries will work inDiablo 4, but they’ll likely be similar toDiablo 2’s Hirelings.
Vessel of Hatredwill also introducea new endgame dungeon, the Dark Citadel. It’s designed for co-op play, and promises high-tier rewards to those who complete it.
How To Get Prepared For Vessel Of Hatred Before Release
Everything You Should Do Before Diablo 4’s Expansion
Frankly, most players will likely want to start with new characters on the Seasonal Realm whenVessel of Hatredcomes out. Arguably, its most exciting new feature is the Spiritborn class, and since character classes are fixed at creation, they’ll have to make new characters in order to test Spiritborn out. OnceVessel of Hatredis unlocked, players will be able to skip the majority of the main campaign in order to head straight to the expansion, so players wanting the full experience will likely create new Spiritborn characters and head straight for Nahantu.
However,it is possible to bring a character over from the Eternal Realm intoVessel of Hatred. Players will need to have completed the main campaign with that character in order to transfer them to the expansion, though, so now’s a good time to jump back in and wrap up any unfinished business.
For those who do plan on transferring Eternal Realm characters, now would also be the right time to start ensuring their builds are up to snuff. Since most Eternal Realm characters are former Seasonal Realm characters who have been frozen in time since the season they originated in, players should ensure their builds are still in good working order, and haven’t been subject to any major balance changes.
That’s everything to know aboutVessel of Hatredfor the time being. The rest will have to wait until theDiablo 4expansion’s release, which begins on October 7.
