Deadlock: Best Kelvin Build (Abilities & Leveling Guide)
Kelvin is one of the most well-balanced heroes in Deadlock. With the right build, he has the ability to freeze out enemies and lead allies to safety.
For max damage output early on, you shouldput your AP toward the Charged Shot. It’s a good idea to grab at least the first two upgrades here, thenpick up Guided Owl’s first upgrade for a significant damage increase. You can work on either Immobilizing Trap or Rain of Arrows afterward, with both offering Cooldown reductions as their first upgrade.

If you’re looking for an easier route to deal damage, you should get the first upgrade for Rain of Arrows here. Immobilizing Trap is an excellent alternative to establish a line of defense against other players, but it can be tricky to use, as you’ll need to practice with precision for the most significant effect.
Finish up with Charged Shot’s upgrades, thenfunnel your AP into leveling Guided Owl to stack Spirit Powerboosts with each kill. Grab the final bonuses for Rain of Arrows and Immobilizing Trap based on the obstacles you typically encounter during matches. The former will likely prove more helpful asDeadlockprogresses, but both ability upgrades have their uses.
Best Itemization For Grey Talon In Deadlock
You’ll have more than enough item options, whether you’re building Grey Talon forWeapon Damage or Spirit Power. Since we’re focusing on the latter, we’ve opted for items to boost this stat and those that help withbulk and mobility, as he tends to lean on the frail side with characters likeDeadlock’sSpirit-powered Pocket. Here’s an overview of working itemization based on game phases:
Late Game
In the early game or laning phase,Hollow Point Ward and Mystic Burstwill give Grey Talon huge increases to Spirit Shield Health, with additional boosts to Spirit Power and Weapon Damage, respectively. The bulk of the items here, includingEnduring Spirit, Extra Spirit, Extra Regen, and Extra Stamina, will all help sustain and bump up your Spirit Power just a bit more. Finally, Sprint Boots help with movement speed on top of health regeneration and Weapon Damage.
Mystic Shot should be your first item pickfor Grey Talon moving into the mid-game, increasing both Weapon Damage and Spirit Power. Similarly, Combat Barrier and Enchanter’s Barrier will buff Bullet Shield Health and Spirit Shield Health equally, giving you more sustain. Improved Burst and Improved Spirit build on this, adding more bulk and Spirit Power to the mix. Go for the Duration Extender and Superior Cooldown to get the most out of Immobilizing Trap and Guided Owl.
Rounding out your Grey Talon build inDeadlock’slate game,Spiritual Overflow, and Boundless Spirit are must-havesto max your Spirit Power. Surge of Power and Sharpshooter will help to round out Charged Shot and Rain of Arrows here, with Mystic Reverb working to add slowing effects to your shots. Superior Duration optimizes Immobilizing Trap, while Silencer will allow you to use Guided Owl without falling prey to other players on cast.
