Cobra Kai Season 6 Part 2 Trailer: Miyagi-Do Faces 15 Brutal Dojos & Former Friends At Sekai Taikai
The second installment ofCobra Kai’sfinal season is soon set to return to Netflix, and some first-look images have introduced new rivals for Daniel LaRusso’s and Johnny Lawrence’s Miyagi Do. Serving as the final season for the belovedKarate Kidsequel series,Cobra Kaiseason 6 has been split into three parts, with the episodes comprising part 2 scheduled for release on November 15. Meanwhile, part 3 is still yet to receive an official release date, though it is expected to arrive sometime in early 2025.
With the Miyagi Do students now in Barcelona for the prestigious Sekai Taikai tournament,Netflixhas revealed three newCobra Kaicast members and offered some new, first-look images at the returning season.Mortal Kombat’s Lewis Tan has been revealed as the formidable Sensei Wolf, the leader of another rival dojo who will be competing against both Miyagi Do and Cobra Kai. Meanwhile,Rebel Moon’sPatrick Luwis and newcomer Rayna Vallandingham will play Tan’s students, Axel Kovacevic and Zara Malik.

Described by series co-creator Josh Heald as “tremendously important”to the story, he revealed that the decision to cast Tan was largely due tothe need for Sensei Wolf to be portrayed by someone with extensive martial arts skills. The first-look image of Tan’s character suggests that he too will be directly involved in the fight action, thanks to a shirtless image of him in what appears to be a cage match setting with a bloodied torso.
Other images reveal the returning Miyagi Do and Cobra Kai students, including Peyton List’s Tory who sensationally switched her allegiance back to her former dojo in theCobra Kaiseason 6 part 1 finale. Meanwhile, the remaining Miyagi Do students who have not been selected to compete in the Sekai Taikai, appear to be gathered to watch the action back from the LaRusso’s home in the U.S. Check out the new images and Heald’s comments below:

Casting and designing the character of Sensei Wolf, it needed to be a martial artist. Lewis jumped on our radar because we’ve been following his career and seen him take center stage in so many amazing roles. The idea of getting somebody with his skills and his presence to embody this character was amazing. From the moment he stepped on set, he was pure Sensei Wolf ready for action.
What Sensei Wolf’s Addition Means For Cobra Kai’s Final Season
Miyagi Do Needs Another True Karate Rival
WhileCobra Kaihas included other rival dojos throughout their previous seasons, the show has largelyfocused on the long-running rivalry between Miyagi Do and Cobra Kai. Even though the competitions featured at the All Valley Tournament would introduce other competitors, none seemed to serve as serious rivals for fighters from the show’s main dojos.
Cobra Kai’s Final Season Can Do Something All Original Karate Kid Movies Failed To
Cobra Kai season 6 will conclude the legacy show with a three-part event, and it has the chance to fix one of the biggest Karate Kid mistakes.
However, with the addition of Tan’s Sensei Wolf, it would seem that the students of both Miyagi Do and Cobrai Kai will learn that they have far more serious competition beyond the confines of their local, All Valley spat. With co-creator Hayden Schlossbergdescribing the Sekai Taikai as a “totally different environment”from what audiences have seen in previous seasons, the introduction of Tan’s character and his students will likely shift the show’s final season away from becoming just another challenge for supremacy between the already established rivals.

Our Take On Cobra Kai’s New Cast Additions
Miyagi Do’s Fighters Will Not Be Prepared For The Sekai Taikai
While some viewers may be surprised to see the addition of new key characters already midway throughCobra Kai’sfinal season, it is important that the show avoid the trap of rehashing the same kind of triumphant All Valley ending that first began with 1984’s originalKarate Kid. The decision to introduce a well-known martial artist of Tan’s standing will not only help to raise the bar in terms of the show’s fight choreography, but will likely also show Miyagi Do’s own teachers that they have led their students into a much larger, and far more daunting tournament than even they could have anticipated.
