While Cranston’s later AMC series did an impressive job with the limited space it had, it left a decent amount on the table. The Baxter family drama was just beginning when the show came to a close, and more could have been done with Desire’s expansion. Although Cranston wasn’t necessary to continue either of these subplots, he could have been worked into them in season 3 and beyond.
