Not to be confused with the four secret Loong bosses, Chen Loong is a recurring character inBlack Myth: Wukong. At first, the dragon will appear to the Destined One as a mighty foe, but after beating Chen Loong in combat, the boss yields to the monkey god. This NPC can then be persuaded to help the Destined Onefor the duration of his journey.
Chen Loong is motivated by a craving for immortality, which is at odds with a persistent fear of eternal loneliness. The Destined One can rectify the dragon’s dilemma by completing favors for Chen Loong. Then, all friendly deities (and one temperamental tiger)will consolidate in Zodiac Village. The village is a secret area where the zodiacs offer services to the Destined One. There, Chen Loongs can live in the company of others andpractice expert horticultural skills.

Find Chen Loong In Chapter Three
The Dragon Can Be Found In The North Shore Of The Bitter Lake
There’s not much to locating Chen Loong. But there is a catch as towhen youshouldfind this boss. In Chapter Three, past the Warding Temple, the Destined One travels to Turtle Island. After defeating Kang-Jin Star, and freeing the Sacred Gourmand, you have the option of exploring the island or advancing to the next area.
To get to the next region, talk to Gourmand and the giant turtle will deliver the monkey and the pig to North Shore of the Bitter Lake. With Gourmand at your side, take advantage of his companionship andfight Chen Loong together.

On the left side of the shore, underneath the turtle, is where Chen Loong can be found. Taking on Chen Loong before advancing to chapter four is essential for two reasons. First, in chapter four,Gourmand will be lost to the player for a time. So traveling back to the North Shore to fight Chen Loong will be done alone.
Second, defeating Chen Loong and completing subsequent quests for the dragonunlocks Zodiac Village. Coming across Chen Loong, Gourmand announces that the chief is an old friend. The pig yaoguai intends to help the monkey defeat Chen Loong and remind the dragon of his peaceful nature.

Black Myth: Wukong - How To Beat Kang-Jin (Boss Guide)
Kang-Jin is a boss you encounter twice in Black Myth: Wukong, but you have to adjust your fighting style to beat them in their human and dragon form.
Fighting Chen Loong
Take Advantage Of The Pig Yaoguai’s Help To Defeat Chen Loong
If the Destined One faces Chen Loong with the help of Gourmand, then the fight is relatively easy. The pig will attract most of the dragon’s attention, allowing the monkey to safely cast spells from a distance. I do not recommend overly preparing for this boss fight.
The tools you’ve amassed to this point in the game will be sufficient for defeating Chen Loong. Like most boss fights, use everything in your arsenal, including spirits, transformations, vessels, andspells. Strike and build up focus. Just watch out for slashing attacks when Chen Loong isfocused on the monkey instead of the pig.

Find and defeat Chen Loong when you reach the North Shore of the Bitter Lake, before advancing to Chapter Four, or risk losing help from the Sacred Gourmand.
Chen Loong Side Quests
Complete Optional Tasks To Receive The Ruyi Scroll
Once defeated, Chen Loong curses himself forfearing death and loneliness. To initiate Chen Loong’s side quest, return to the North Shore shrine and rest to reset the NPC. Then, return to the Chen Loong boss arena, where you’ll noticethe character has moved to a lakeside cottage.
Back in chapter two, the Destined One encountered the zodiac deity, Xu Dog, a friendly NPC who moves to the cellar ofCrouching Tiger Temple. Return to Xu Dog after interacting with Chen Loong and the deity will grant you the Special-Made Bone-Strengthening Pellet to cheer up old Chen Loong. In better spirits, Chen Loong gifts the Destined One theRuyi Scroll, an itemthat grants anytime access to Zodiac Village.

Chen Loong The Gardener
Deliver Seeds To Chen Loong In Zodiac Village To Harvest Medicine Crafting Items
Before chapter three, the monkey likelycollectedseeds during his journey. Looking at the item descriptions for seeds indicate that their purpose is to be delivered to a garden lover. Lo and behold, the garden lover in question is Chen Loong.
In Zodiac Village, deliver any seeds gathered to the dragon deity. When you inevitably return to the village, Chen Loong will have produced crafting materials for medicines in the garden. Be sure to harvest the items whentraveling to Zodiac Village.

Chen Loong is joined by a cast of companions, including Xu Dog, Shen Monkey, and one stoic tiger. It seems that Chen Loong’s loneliness has been cured, but still, the dragon encourages the monkey to visit the garden more frequently.
With Zodiac Village unlocked, make sure to use the Ruyi Scroll whenever it’stime to upgrade your character. When ready, challenge the tiger to a duel. But make sure the Destined One is ready for a difficult fight. Continue the hunt for Yellowbrow and the third relic in chapter three ofBlack Myth: Wukong.
