To unlock the Platinum Trophy inAstro Bot, players will need to unlock the secret What a Trip! trophy. This trophy involves defeating seven enemies with the Tripcaster, one of the many weapons available to Aloy, the protagonist ofHorizon Zero DawnandHorizon Forbidden West. To unlock this trophy, players must find Aloy inAstro Botand unlock theHorizon-themed Machine Learning level.
Machine Learning unlocks once players defeat the boss in the Feather Cluster, the last and perhapsleast impressive ofAstro Bot’sfive clusters.Other levels based on PlayStation IP do appear, and they all have secret trophies; for instance, theApe Escape-themed Apes on the Loose level featuresa secret Golden Butterfly that can be caught. However, the Tripcaster works quite differently inAstro Botcompared to theHorizongames.

How To Defeat Enemies With The Tripcaster In Astro Bot
Defeat Seven Enemies And Unlock The What A Trip! Trophy
Once Astro lands in theMachine Learninglevel, continue until you encounter special wires electrified with purple energy. These are the Tripwires that Astro can use to defeat enemies.Unlike in theHorizongames, Astro can’t place his own Tripwires and instead will need to rely on pre-placed wires scattered throughout the level.
Be careful around the Tripwires, as they can also electrocute and hurt Astro, forcing you to restart from the last checkpoint. The lasers can also cut them on Astro’s feet if he glides over them. As such, take care not to cut them, as this may prevent the trophy from being unlocked without a reset.

Players need to trick enemies into running into them to defeat enemies with the Tripwires.Unfortunately, this is trickier than it sounds, as the enemies inAstro Botwon’t notice Astro if he’s standing on the other side of a Tripwire.Instead, players will need to jump over a Tripwire, attracting the attention of any nearby enemies, before running back towards a Tripwire.
If done right, the enemies will hit the Tripwire and become scrap in a single hit. Essentially, players can take advantage of their relatively mindless nature to lure them into traps. There are a few different locations where players can defeat enemies to get the What A Trip! Trophy. Two appear fairly early in the level, while another can be found in the area where a Tallneck is roaming about.
The Tripwires in the area with the Tallneck are also close to the Grazer Bot:one of five Bots that can be rescued from the Machine Learning level.
Personally, I found this trophy fairly easy compared to others; just be careful not to use the bow and arrow or Astro’s lasers to glide and kill these enemies out of habit.GettingAstro Bot’sPlatinum trophy is a headachesince there are many secret trophies with highly specific unlock requirements. However, with this guide, players should be able to tick the What a Trip! trophy off their lists.
