Yasuke’s direct approach to fights leads him to take more damage in larger confrontations, so having a way to recover can help you survive more chaotic encounters.
When you have the Defense Master Clothing equipped, you can’t hesitate to strike after a Parry. You only have a small window to gain the health recovery bonus from this item after you’ve performed a Parry with the right timing.

Keeping Yasuke alive during a fight is more important for his playstyle than it is for Naoe. Since Yasuke tends to take a more direct approach to combat, you’ll likely sustain more injuries, making health restoration a great alternative to fleeing. This Legendary Armorcan be great for fighting large groups of enemieswhose Weakpoints are far easier to target for some easy kills.

TheShip Captain’s Gearis one of the most unorthodox pieces of Legendary Armor Yasuke can use, as ithas a 50/50 chance of negating the damage from any projectile. This high chance to shrug off arrows or other ranged attacks makes it far easier for Yasuke to infiltrate areas occupied by enemies. While this armor’s ability is dictated by chance, it almost takes away a dangerous risk found in larger combat encounters.
This armor is extremely useful forfully exploring areas inAC Shadowswith many different enemies. If you need Yasuke to flee from a heavily defended fortress, this Armor makes it less risky as half of the projectiles trying to take you out during your retreat could be ignored. This gearallows you to focus on melee enemies more, stand your ground, and have better odds against a diverse group of enemies.

Normally, most of Yasuke’s Legendary Armor would prevent you from dying in some way, but theSamurai Daimyo Helmet of Legendhas an ability tied to your death. This armor willsave you from death once per combatby activating Samurai Stand, a stance for Yasuke that fills him with fury. For a short time, Yasuke enters a frenzy that turns all of his attacks into Posture attacks for roughly 10 seconds.
The Samurai Stand skill is an ability Yasuke can learn by leveling up his Samurai skill tree. This passive ability requires a Knowledge Rank 4 to learn through the Samurai Mastery Path.
Not only does this armor save Yasuke from death, but it also puts him into a state where his attacks do devastating damage against his foes. Thiseffect may not last long, but it gives you one more chance to take out your enemies, retreat, or recover healththrough some rations. While this armor’s ability is limited, it will trigger more often than you think based on how many fights Yasuke tends to get into.

Yasuke is designed as a Samurai in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and this build is the best representation of his character’s melee proclivity.

Since you’ll get into far more fights early in Yasuke’s story, having this armor can help you deal with the increased damage you’ll likely take from most enemies.
Having a 50% damage increase at half health is a major buff that can help you take down sturdier enemies Yasuke may face. Even the smallest bonus of 10%additional damage can be useful in combat since you can always recover fastusing rations. This armor works best in duels against powerful opponents, but it can also be useful to turn the tide of battle against a horde of enemies starting to overwhelm Yasuke.
